I used to make Christmas cookies and decorate them. So much fun and helps me get in the holiday mood. I like the idea of giving the cookies to the neighborhood kids as I'm not suppose to have anymore. Yours are beautiful! I will try the meringue powder when I make at Christmas 2023.♥️🎄

I feel like I'm back in high school in the kitchen with my Mom!!! I miss those days! Love Rachel's calm, patient demeanor and teaching ability - she doesn't skip over any steps assuming we know what we're doing - because I don't cook or bake enough to know every detail. Where are you guys in San Antonio, my parents owned property back in the 80's in Cannon Lake & Leon Springs on the broader of a base there weapon area back up to our backyard camp bullis, we haven't been back there since 92. My parents sold it I miss Texas it's really a pretty state use to go down every Christmas and summer vacation travel one end to the other side to side of Texas my parents would grab me would drive to wherever the road would go LOL, my Mom love Bernie & New BrunFules where her favorite places to visit.. We use to live in Burnett Burnett Tx up near Ft Worth, when my Dad was station there. Nice festive video Baking cookies and decorating with my 3 little boys long ago was a very happy time. Now They are all far away and we visit their homes but we are all never together because of distance. This brought back some wonderful memories for me. Love the music in the background.

Wonderful. Looks like fun. Interesting to learn how to thin royal icing. Usually make buttercream because royal icing gets too hard. Am going to try these for sure. Please tell me how much meringue powder you used in your frosting recipe for the Christmas cookies. I am anxious to try both your cookie recipe and a frosting made with meringue powder. Old fashion cake coloring. I've used them all my life for so many things. Years ago I even tinted latex paint with them, coloring for Easter eggs too. Anyways, check grocery stores, cake decorating stores, $ 1 stores,etc. I think they are getting harder to find.
