Didn't you promote another vitamin yesterday? AG1 is very expensive. One thing your candle is $52 per candle and you buy baubles £28 and say these seem expensive. The candles do look lovely but no refill and would work out expensive. Also no one in UK can order as would be over $100 per candle.

I just wanna say just how much of a wonderful job you did with these videos! I can't imagine how much footage you had, and you were able to organize it all in a way that made sense and told a story. Great directing and great marketing that still felt genuinely like you. I know a few peolple have been saying that they don't recognise you anymore because of you new LA content or the launching of your brand, but I know that you're still the same person and that your passion and drive are still intact, they just can't rejoice for people succeding, as if that somehow changed what's in your heart. To me you are still the same person I started following in the early days, who flipped thrifted items and renovated a cottage from strach and built a ton of experience in the process. You haven't changed, you have grown because you are dedicated, focussed, hardworking and smart and you derserve every little bit of succes that is coming your way, and then some. You have my forever support!

The second hand crewneck sweaters were $55 CAD + shipping and duties and now these candles are $77 CAD after tax + $29 shipping (!!!!) so $106 CAD for a 7.5 oz candle. I just feel like for some pre-made scents she had shipped to her to choose her favourites and some pretty but not unique pressed glass jars, the price point is wild. I know I’m not the only one feeling taken advantage of. The site feels pretentious and altogether too serious for 3 candles that certainly didn’t take like 5 years to come up with. Disappointing.

Totally agree, I love McKenna but I was very disappointed with her last two makeovers and the lack of attention to detail... It felt a bit like product placement for her sponsors. Seems her videos are going in a new direction more like building her brand rather than focusing on the joy and passion she had for finishing the cottage and nesting in her house in LA.

I can understand that there would be project fatigue after working for several years alone on a demanding project, away from your partner. Especially now that they have their little nest where they can do makeovers too (without all the grime and dust of a gut job). She also was working on launching her brand and honestly I'm amazed that she even managed to keep up with her regular content as if nothing was going on BTS. My guess is she might put the cottage on hold to build a family in LA, which she has spoken about a few times, especially on the podcast. And then have a phase 2 where she would do the bedrooms, master bathroom and porch/landscaping, maybe with some help because who wants to do heavy reno while pregnant/mom of a toddler and also run a growing candle company. I know the content might feel different but she has the same heart and enthousiasm she's always had, this is just a new phase of her life, which is very natural for someone her age

I don’t mean to rain on your parade, MaCenna, but having just run the numbers, it’d cost the average Canadian customer CAD110 for one of your candles. That’s Diptyque prices. Hell, that’s Trudon prices. Both heritage brands, both made in France, both with a cachet one can only aspire to *and* both with an ability to be smelled in store before separating yourself from a hefty amount of cash. Unfortunately, as things stand, it’ll be a no from me. The product looks gorgeous, the scents are most likely lovely, but to me, the pricing is unrealistic.
