I have astonished myself with how copious my viewing of this particular video has been in recent weeks. Since discovering Shelby and her fabulous Pretty in the Pines resource, I have felt a profound attachment to her execution of decorative chic and aesthetically-pleasing surroundings. I have recently purchased my first and FOREVER Home, a 1945 Colonial Revival. My Home is evocative of the classic Americana splendor I so adore in all its Glory, shutters on the windows and all. I yearn for French elegance in my decorating, however. Shelby combines that sophisticated European class with coziness in a seemingly effortless manner. At long last, someone out there has the precise tastes that I have been seeking out for inspiration. Her videos give me the delight and motivation I need in order to manifest the decor of my dreams. Love these choices and it is a lovely home in the city. Those bedrooms seem massive and so serene. Adding those moldings, fireplaces, art and bits of wallpaper help to add personality. I could use Shelby's help in our 1920s home and after 30 years here, I thought I was done. Lovely place, just simply lovely. And thanks for not painting some of those old wood pieces.

Your home is gorgeous…that little chair is a doll chair but I put little books in it when my son was a baby like a tiny book case….save all of your cute baby shoes and put them on your Christmas tree every year…I would leave that little tree I. Shelby is a far more natural speaker than many others featured on Homeworthy. Her home is lovely, though it would take an awful lot of effort to maintain so much stuff and navigate around it. The dog mouthing the "decoration" is a perfect example of living with so much of it. (Wait until their son gets older)! If the fridge door was changed to open the other way it may have worked better. Also, no mention of the fridge(?) in her bedroom. If this apartment were set up for living and not for "show" and her blog, I assume many things would have been done differently. They must have a large storage room somewhere to accommodate all the decorative & seasonal items. Checked out her method of hanging regular wallpaper with corn starch. Would love to know if that would be suitable in a far warmer climate. Love wallpaper, but fear the commitment! Have noticed that these high end NYC apts have horrendous windows. When are landlords going to get with our climate reality and start replacing them? Even I with my meager income have replaced mine.
