Grace, you should watch yourself. In most videos, I see you looking at Ryosuke with such love in your eyes. It is touching. In my marriage, I am Ryosuke. I am the funny guy. My wife an I are quite happy together. Even after 30 years together. So, I am happy to see a young couple, like you guys, sharing a similar situation. Funny thing, I am from Puerto Rico and my wife was born there but her parents are from Chile, so we are in a mix marriage too.

I like when Ryosuke smiles in the beard and all you can see are his teeth peeking out. ^_^ My favorite Christmas story was the first Christmas I spent with my husband and his family. My family had a lot of trouble with holidays so I wasn't looking forward to it, and I wasn't expecting anything...and on Christmas morning there were four big piles of presents around his family's tree. My husband and his siblings sat next to where their piles always were on Christmas, and when I went to sit on the couch. His parents looked at me like I was ridiculous and told me to go sit by my presents. I had no idea they had gotten me anything at all let alone my own specially wrapped pile to be included. It meant so much to me for them to include me like that when they didn't have to..

Panda Murphy Awwwww, that's so sweet! And very heartwarming. It reminds me of Ryosuke's first Christmas with my family in Texas. He got my parents each one present - and was blown away by his piles of Captain America shirts and goodies. It was a really good day.

My favorite Christmas memories where of when I was a child, before my grandpa passed away. The entire family, which included at that time my mother and father and her 10 siblings and their families would gather at my grandparents' farm on Christmas Eve. Now we're talking 50+ cousins so it was a huge event. We would do a nativity scene using the animals from the farm, except for camels. There were sheep, a donkey, pigs, cows... My uncles would kill a pig that morning and that evening all my aunts would make tamales. My grandmother's tamales were the best and I miss them. My mom's are a close match. But the part I miss the most was when abuelo and abuela would come out dressed as Santa and Mrs. Clause and give each grandchild a gift. Every year was the same, a comb for the boys and a handkerchief with their names embroidered on it for the girls. Now, with my cousins' children and their children, the family is well over 100. I'll never get those days back. Oh, and I wish my beard was that epic.

Ryosuke's Beard is so soft and awesome, I liked how he was stroking it the whole time. Thank you for the wonderful romantic ideas for the holidays it gives me many ideas. One of my most favorite Christmas stories is from years ago: My brothers and I always went to bed early and woke up early to see what presents Santa brought, including the consumed cookies and milk always brightened our eyes. Many times I would fall asleep under the tree looking at the gifts and staring at the lights twinkling. A few years later the traditions changed and we slept in, but once I decided to get up early like we used to and take a look and it brought back fond memories, so I slept like before under the tree as a 18-year-old. I was woken up by a teary eyed mom filled with joy, she couldn't be happier she had her little boy back. I'm 29 now and want this fantastically fun life for my (someday) kids as they grow, filled with wonder and mystery that make memories for years to come. Thanks for reading and may your Christmas be filled with magical wonder and glistening adventure.

a favourite christmas story.. when i was little my parents used to work abroad and i lived with my grandmother. sometimes they would come to visit but i didn't really interact with them as a kid, especially my dad. so one year my mother came back to stay with us for christmas, but my father was still gone. however on christmas evening our intercom rang (we lived in a flat on 2nd floor) and i picked up and asked "who is it?". a male voice replied saying "the police", and i got really scared! i called my grandmother to ask if i should let him in and she started laughing and said yes. so i pressed the buzzer and i kept asking my grandma why a policeman was coming to our flat. i was really worried! then there was a knock at the door and my grandma said i should open it. i did and bam - it was my father, with a gigantic christmas gift in his hands nonetheless!! i nearly cried, haha. sadly he had to leave back for work a few days after but i don't think i'll ever forget the image of him standing in my doorway with that nearly two-metre package :') it turned out to be a massive flat-doll's house, by the way, straight from the country he worked in at the time. i know it's not a particularly moving story but it's what comes to mind whenever i'm asked for an interesting christmas story! anyway merry christmas guys, love the totally real beard by the way ;)

I like the fact that Ryosuke's real beard is incredibly realistic and so well-kept. I don't have much of a christmas story but here goes anyway! Last year, I thought I'd put all of the christmas songs that me and my mum like onto a CD so that we wouldn't have to deal with an album where we disliked a lot of the songs. The songs burnt onto the CD perfectly and worked on my mac but when I put it in the stereo, it kept jumping. For example, for "Baby it's cold outside", it just kept repeating "Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby" and the other songs kept jumping at weird moments too. SO YEAH, we clearly had great fun listening to christmas songs on christmas day lmao...oh well

Ryosuke's beard is the best fake/real beard ever to grace his face hahahaha. Last Christmas I brought home my boyfriend(soon to be fiancee) home to Fredericksburg, TX before he had to go back to Korea to finish school. It was definitely the best, we went to a ranch and rode horses, fed longhorns and really gave him the whole experience. I think my favorite part was that he was so excited to ride a horse since he hadn't even been on one since he was about 6. The ranchers kept on calling him 'big dog' hahahaha. It was great to see him really bond with my family and enjoy his last two months in the United States with so much smiling. Hopefully after my year abroad in Japan I can take a trip to see him!

Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday mainly for the time with family! I've grown to never expect a whole lot for Christmas but to appreciate what you have! Like just last year I was able to get my mother and I out of a terrible situation and move to a new place. When we moved in we celebrated Christmas on the floor with a store bought pre made chicken and egg nog! That was literally the best Christmas ever as corny as that might be! And as far as Christmas stories go I've always loved watching Elf, that's been a tradition in my family too! Love your videos! Merry Christmas!

I would like to think that my favorite Christmas is going to happen this year. After 4 years of spending Christmas separately my husband and I are finally going to be together in Japan this year. He has planned a trip to Ishigaki for us (sort of short honeymoon trip - we got married in May this year!). He is Japanese, but thankfully he doesn't insist on eating cakes or KFC. We'll just enjoy our precious time together :) I wish you and Ryosuke a wonderful Christmas, although you will have to work - as many others, most important is being together, being in harmony, in love and enjoying!

I can't really pick my favorite Christmas story.... Each year has its own special memories. For the past 5 years, my husband has been in the Navy and we have been away from home for Christmas (and all of the other time too). Since we have moved almost every year for the past five years, We started adopting the single sailors with no family or friends to spend Christmas with. We cook a big meal to share, do a small gift exchange, and play board games/video games all day long. My two children are usually the winners of said games. (Spread that Christmas magic!) The only year that really sticks out from the rest would definitely not be my favorite... It was the year my husband was here in Japan alone because the kids and I had medical issues to take care of in New York before we could fly out.. That was two years ago. We opened presents on skype and had pizza delivered. Last Christmas was our first here in Japan and we spent it with all of his friends.. Making a turkey was difficult as our Japanese home only has a fish oven but we managed it! This year we are still having everyone over but have ordered our KFC chicken and a Christmas cake from 7/11. I am still planning on making some american dishes as well as some dutch dishes to keep bellies full. Hopefully we can fit our even bigger guest list in our living room! Sadly, this is our last Christmas in Japan.. We move to our next location in Virginia in a few months.

I don't have many exciting personal Christmas stories, but one of my most favorite things is when I had the opportunity in high school 3 years in a row to sing at Epcot in Disney World as part of the Candlelight Processional that performs with a guest celebrity narrator, a professional orchestra, and the Voices of Liberty (a group of professional singers who perform in the America area of Epcot regularly). It's a super awesome experience and takes months of preparation for all the music. Just went and saw a performance of it two days ago actually which was super strange to be on the other side, but definitely put me in the Christmas spirit! I have all the alto 2 part to all of the Candlelight songs committed to memory for probably the rest of my life at this point!

Haha my favorite thing about Ryosuke's beard is that IT'S REAL!!! ;) lol love how you guys got all dressed up! My Christmas story: The Christmas of the year 2012 was the last Christmas I had with my grandmother being alive. She would invite all of my relatives over to her house in Mexico (I live in Texas WHOOO GO TEXANS) and she would make dinner for the 40 of us and we would put her old Christmas records on her gramophone and sing along. It was the very first time that ALL of my cousins, uncles, and little nephews were there (throughout the years there was always one person or family missing) but on THAT year, the last christmas with my grandma, it was the whole family together for the first and sadly last time. After our christmas lunch, we played a bunch of board games and laughed uncontrollably throughout the day. It was the best Christmas ever....I truly hope that one year, I will spend Christmas my whole family and that we will be reunited again even with my grandmother being gone. It is the ultimate Christmas wish that I have in my heart and of course this book would be one of the best Christmas gifts EVER!!! :)

Favorite holiday memory with my wife... the week before Xmas I got really really sick and it was a horrible version of the flu. On Xmas Eve my Wife started getting sick at bed time... I had given it to her just as I was feeling better so... we had to hide the presents from my kids amongst the sounds of her getting sick.. Ended up keeping me and my mother up all night.. Then that weekend the kids all got the flu from my wife.. So it was a miserable holiday but we were all so sick that we all spent more time together... Granted might not sound like the best... but it really was a memorable Xmas that we will not forget! Hope to get your comic! Every time we have had the money it has said sold out on Amazon! For my Christmas story, for the past few years I've never asked for anything for Christmas because I never knew what I wanted so I never really got excited over presents. Last Christmas, I got a hat from my Aunt and Uncle and as soon as I saw it, I felt like I reverted to an excited 5 year old and put it on my head as if it was a crown. Comment beard: It is the one and only Santa beard; all hail the beard. As for a christmas story... well.. I think my favorite is when I was 17. That was the year I first met my father, who I didn't even know was still alive. We met about three months before Christmas, at a village inn; and then in November he asked if I would like to come and meet his parents and spend some time with them on Christmas. I was nervous, but said yes. It turned out to be one of the best holidays I've ever had. Here was this huge amount of loving, kind people who had spent my whole life wanting to meet me, while I had no idea they even existed. I opened the door to the house and the first thing I heard was "She's HERE" and suddenly I was surrounded by a whole of smiling and crying people. We had presents opened and ate waffles and bacon (which is a tradition now on Christmas morning; I drive up and eat waffle breakfast with my dads' other kids, my new niece, and my paternal grandparents). It was a very weird thing to never once imagine having a father, much less having him at my high school graduation or having an entire other family that turns out to be amazing. It's been about eight years since then and somehow I've ended up to be the most like my dad, and we have an excellent relationship. I think that was the best christmas, just because it is very overwhelming to realize that there are people out there who don't even know you and love you anyway. Before he could meet me, my dad had to sober up; I had been on a short news program in my hometown about two years before that, and he had happened to see me on the news. He realized that he was more likely to see his oldest on television by random chance than in real life, and made the decision to get some help so he could meet me. He's been sober since then. Christmas feels! (For me anyway!) Love your channel and blog keep it up!!

What a luscious beard! Anyway I don't have any Christmas stories really, but I remember when I was like 7, back when I live in Mexico with my mother and my stepdad, my sister flew down and we all had a nice Christmas together. They either didn't have Christmas trees in Tuxtla, or we didn't want to spend money on one, so we made one out of paper! We just cut the shape of a tree, tier by tier, and taped it on the wall. Then we made paper ornaments and popcorn garlands and put those up. It was seriously the coolest tree ever.

I don't know if this is my favourite Christmas story, but it's definitely a story to tell: two years ago I spent Christmas in Minsk, Belorussia (I worked there as a volunteer for a whole year), and because I was so far away from home (I'm from Germany), I wanted to at least have some German traditions on this day. So two of my friends and I decided to go to a catholic church on the 24th of December, because we we sure there would be a service. But unfortunately it didn't go as we expected. In the first church we waited for at least half an hour until we understood that there was not gonna be a service. So we tried to find another church. When we finally found it we were freezing, because it was supercold on the streets. In this church they were setting up some equipement, so we knew there would be a service. But after we had waited another 30 minutes we ask somebody and this person told us, that the service would only start within an hour. We were really cold but decided to stay in the church so save our seats. When the service finally started we noticed that it wasn't in Russian, as we expected, but in Polish language. So we didn't understand a word and couldn't sing along, not to mention that we were still freezing to death. After this experience we had enough of churches and couldn't wait to get home :'D

I remember one Christmas,(it was the last Christmas my parents were together, and my parents knew this, so they made an effort to make it the 'best Christmas ever'.) My sister and I got several expensive gifts. And after we opened our presents, we toasted marshmallows over the stove. It was one of last memories I have of my family being happy together. Oh, and by the way, Ryosuke's beard is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Lovley video as always!! Christmas story. When I was small, every second year we had Christmas at my grandparents that live 60mils away from us. The day before Christmas we all walked together, my grandparents, uncle, aunt and there familys, my mom, dad and my siblings went out to pic and take down our christmas tree. Then we all helped to take the tree home to my grandparents and there put it up and decorated it. Then after decorating we all got blankets, pillows and mattresses in to the living room floor and sat there all together. Eating christmas candy's and other Swedish christmas sweets, talking, singing some songs, watch a christmas movie of some sort. Those where the best christmas moments. My favorite :D Ooh btw, your Santa beard was awesome! :D

My favorite thing about the beard is that you can see the strings on it!!! lol, For the Christmas story portion: So while I've lived in California almost all my life, I never had a traditional 'american' Christmas til a few years ago when I started dating my current fiance. He is Anglo American while i'm Mexican american and it's very interesting to see how our traditions are so different. I'm use to having tamales (which is usually a corn meal dough wrapped in a corn husk leaf and then steamed, usually filled with some type of cooked meat) and posole (a red or white broth based beef or pork soup) while they usually have the traditional ham and potatoes kind of dinner. The first time he had our type of Christmas was kinda nerve-wracking cause his mom was meeting my family for the first time and the both of us were really nervous but everything went super well and luckily nothing embarrassing happened for either parties! He actually liked it so much that he wants both of us to learn how to cook the dishes, so he can have it every year!

"Eat Christmas on chicken." I bet that tastes delicious haha One of my favorite Christmas stories would have to be when I was able to buy my grandma a Christmas present on my own with my own money for the first time (because when you're like 10 it's a huge deal). She didn't know I was getting her anything either and since it was the first year our family wasn't coming over, she wasn't expecting to get a present. The look on her face when she opened her present made me super happy.

Christmas for couples seems so strange yet fun, usually for Christmas my whole family gets together, i see all my cousins which is always very fun and my mom makes a huge Christmas dinner we also never wait till Christmas morning to open gifts we stay up on Christmas eve til 12 and then give each other presents, sadly it wont be like that this year, since my mom has to work night shift at the hospital this year :(. not sure if fav Christmas story is suppose to be what happened to me or what ive seen...my fav Christmas story that Ive seen is probably Home alone

You guys are the cutest couple on the planet! I really enjoyed hearing about japanese Christmas traditions :D I also have a feeling that this holiday might be a kinda depressing for single people... Because I am a terrible supporter and I still haven't buy you wonderful book, I'll give a shot at the giveaway (because you'll even sign it! And that's really amazing!) And Ryosuke's beard is fake!? No way! I don't believe in anything anymore :'( My favorite Christmas story has to be, when I was a little girl and I've made a mission out of catching a glimpse of my parents placing the christmas presents. I believed in Santa Claus for as long as any child could (like until I was 7 or 8 years old) so when I discovered that my parents were actually Santa, I felt kinda of embarrassed and I just wanted to see how they usually set up the all thing. My family has this tradition (which I think it's something portuguese) where you have to place Santa's gifts over your fanciest shoe. And you can leave your shoe under your christmas tree or at your bedroom door step (the latter is how we usually do), and in the morning of the 25th you'll have a shiny present over your shiny shoe ; ) So I tried to stay awake all night long just to see what time my parents would place the presents over mine and my sister's shoes. And Grace, up until now, a fully grown up 23 year-old, I still can't find out what time do my parents place the presents over the shoe. And I think this simple and funny gesture from my parents breaths a dust of magic over our family Christmas tradition, because for a moment there, when I wake up in the middle of the night and I wait and wait just to hear/see them and then fall asleep from exhaustion and wake up again and the present's already there, I kinda feel like a little child again. It's wonderful!

My boyfriend would be in heaven with all the chicken options, he is obsessed haha. My favorite Christmas story actually is pre-christmas. My boyfriend joined the military, and is headed across country for basic training. When he found out he won't be shipping until after the holidays (and our birthdays/anniversary) I was totally excited. Best present I could have asked for, being able to spend the holiday with the one I love :)

I never knew christmas was such a big thing in Japan, especially the whole chicken thing! As far as my favourite christmas story goes, this is the probably the best one that I can remember: A few years ago now my family used to go ice skating every christmas eve but my mum wasn't exactly a natural. This story happened on the second year we went I think, and there were quite a lot of people there which made manoeuvring tricky for the poorer skaters (including myself). So my mother, after about ten minutes of skating/shuffling around by the barriers because she's afraid of falling, finally slips, lands flat on her bum and slides right between some poor random guy's legs. The only thing hurt was her dignity though, so I don't feel too bad about it being one of my favourite christmas memories. Every year after that she just watched us skate instead ^^

TheGlassDragon3 Awwwwww, that's such a sweet story! Hahahah. Ryosuke can't skate to save his life either, it's kinda funny~

My Christmas story is every time during Christmas, or if we're overseas, around the Christmas season my family hosts a Christmas dinner to bless people and we invite some close friends and family that may vary each year but we always invite this old lady who lives by herself without fail every year and she ends up having the best stories to tell from her life experience every time. What I like about Ryosuke's beard is that it seems to grow in one flat sheet and is perfectly groomed (Y) ;))

His beard is totally real haha. It's also a prey sweet beard. One of my favorite Christmas stories is about a Christmas a couple years ago, i wen on a forum site that i frequented and they had a secret Santa thing between various members. whoever you got you would have to send them a gift and sometime before Christmas you would get a gift from someone else on the website. So of course, i joined. I messaged the person who was running the whole thing and told him that i wanted in and a suggestion of what i might want. One thing in particular i told him was that if someone from Canada got me that i would love to get these things called kinder eggs(chocolate eggs with a toy in the middle) that they don't have in america because they were really nostalgic for me, i used to go to Canada every year as a kid but then some things happened and i haven't gone now in about 8 or 9 years. It was part of my childhood and i wanted something i thought of nostalgically for Christmas so the person who ran the secret Santa said okay and we didn't talk for a while. I got the person who i was suppose to by a present for so i bought her something really cool and sent it to her. Now comes Christmas, i finally get my present from the secret Santa and it turns out the person who ran the whole thing was from Canada and he chose me to buy for(he got to choose because he organized the whole thing). Not only did he get me kinder eggs but he got me sooo much other stuff from Canada and it made me really happy. He also went way above the price limit for the items which was super nice of him. Needless to say it was one of my best Christmases every and i sent him an email thanking him a million times haha.

Firstly, I should say that Ryosuke has some great tenacity to do a whole video with one of those beards! They're so irritating of the skin, haha. Favourite Christmas story? Well, I think my favourite Christmas story hasn't happened yet because I think it will be this year. I haven't seen my family in my home country in quite a few years, but this year I'm going to visit them. I can't wait too see all my cousins who are like brothers to me, my grandparents, and best of all, my little sister. Karaoke, Christmas games, the younger ones arguing over who got more turkey, my grandfather cheating in card games, and throwing my nana into the Christmas tree when she gets drunk. Nothing beats an Irish Christmas. What I'm most anticipating is giving my little sister her present. She is a complete bookworm, like me, so I got her a first edition copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (one of my favourite books when I was a child) but it's personalised so it has a note on the inside and it has her name instead of Alice. I can't wait to see how excited her little face gets. :3

Christmas is my favorite time of the year, I remember very well one christmas that we went to cut a tree out it was raining and freezing, it was really awesome. Watching christmas specials on tv is always been a tradition in my house, well at least for me, get up at 8 am put the tv on on cartoon network and watching ed, edd and eddy's special, or even history and natgeo channels its been the best.

I was about 5 and my Mum took my brother and I to the shopping centre to see Santa. We lined up and my brother told me that shopping centre Santas aren't real Santas. I didn't believe him and as I got to sit on Santa's lap and he proceeded to ask me what I wanted, I went and pulled his beard off, just to prove that he WAS Santa. He screamed in pain as I yanked it off, and there sat Ryosuke, tears coming to his eyes as his beard that required 7 years of growth floated to the ground. This video is of Ryosuke attempting to bring back the memories of his old beard, as I pulled it off with such force that he is now unable to grow one any more. I'm sorry Grace, your husband will never have a beard of glory :( (If that wasn't heartfelt and touching I don't know what is).

I like that Ryosuke wore the beard for the entire video. That is some serious dedication. Yay, contest! Yeah, I heard it's because American military abroad in Tokyo ate chicken on Christmas because they couldn't find turkey, and so KFC capitalized on that. But I think what a bunch of people who hear that Japanese eat KFC on Christmas think is that it's literally the normal drumsticks and such, but that shit is legit! -Morgan

I love how your husband kept playing with the beard and claiming that it is real! Lol Ok best christmas memory?.... Can I say Hanukkah instead? Best Hanukkah is this one... I was able to get presents for everyone and the pets... We are going to have fried food! As tradition says... Mostly because we get to spend time with my parents (even though we live with them). Since it is celebrated in the evening, everyone will be home! As for Christmas... When we were younger living with my grandparents... Waiting for everyone to arrive to open gifts and play with all of my cousins...

Ryousuke, your beard looks so voluptuous and curvy. It brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas to you, Grace, Ryousuke and Ryosuke's beard. (it started to rhyme so I just went with it :p) This is about m favourite Christmas Eve :) My favourite Christmas story was back in 2003 or 2004, the exact year I cannot be sure. It wasn't cold or snowing like a white Christmas is in the U.S.A, because an Aussie Christmas is hot and humid on Christmas day. The year this particular Christmas Eve came about, my family all tried to fill our home with cheers and shouts. You see my Pop, named Pete, he struggled with Cancer, so we thought we'd cherish our time together with thoughts of Dasher, Rudolph, Comet and even Prancer. We unwrapped our brand new piano and began to play, with my Pop right beside us smiling as he lay. He sat up quickly and took out his guitar, and we sang of Merry Christmas, with bad thoughts afar. The dinner was おいしい! and the presents were enticing, and we'd already eaten all the gingerbread house icing ;). When I picture that night I see singing and fun, it fills my head with memories that cannot be undone. So each year when I go to Nan's for dinner on Christmas Eve, I hold my Pop's picture which from our hearts will never leave. Then I set his picture down at his spot at the head of the table, and I thank him for this tradition and that we are surely always able, To make time each year to see eachother together, and as I smile at where he should be sitting, my heart is hardly light as a feather. But I know he looks down on me even at this time as I write this, and I know he's got a smile on his face, a santa hat and beard, and he is wishing me a Merry Christmas. I started writing this and it turned into a bit of a sad sack christmas eve story :/ but I still hope it counts as a chance to win your book, Grace! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

I like how ryosuke's beard was perfectly shaped but not long enough. Haha XD One Christmas my mom and I bought our cat a Mrs. Clause dress. But once we put it on her she started slinking around the house with her belly to the ground. She hated it but it was so funny and cute.

Is heard that KFC thing before, but I never thought it was true! Wow. You guys are lovely as always. Ryosuke's dedication to his "very real" beard was admirable!! :D Christmas story:: Once, when I was a kid my cousins and my brother and I were really into a card game called Magic The Gathering. When Xmas came around my aunts and uncles all asked what we wanted and we all wanted packs of cards. Christmas morning comes around and all my cousins and brothers got stockings full of card packs and I... Got lots of makeup and nail polish. I was kind of heart broken. Growing up with all boys it was only natural I'd be interested in the same things- yet everyone wanted me to be so girly. Then later my mom pulled me aside and gave me a boosterbox :DDD she's always been very kind to me and accepting of my interest- whatever they are :)
