In previous Christmas seasons I have spent loads of money on store bought gifts only to see mild enthusiasm, but since I started thrifting as a business years ago, I always see things that friends/family would like, and I pick them up along the way. Wouldn't you know, the stuff they absolutely love and use are all things I have thrifted. This year has been a dumpster fire unfortunately of deaths in the family, dad dealing with cancer, loss of pets, loss of three of my beloved neighbors, and to add insult to injury I've been massively sick all week, so this is a self care year, close the blinds, shut the phones off, immediate family only who are all on the same vibe of let's just sit in our PJs, with a good movie, order in some food, not do presents, and just enjoy our company. I wish everyone whether you are happy and full of joy or struggling to make it through the day, a Merry/Happy Christmas. Not every year is a good one, but there will be brighter days along the way if this is not your year.

Just caught up on this after Christmas. A lovely long vlog with so much to enjoy. I discovered Helen in the mid to late 80s with the sketch show Naked Video. I’m very intrigued by her book and will be buying that. Loved the cocktail section and how Helen’s eyes lit up at the mention of vodka 😂

Merry Christmas from Adelaide Iwan. It is Christmas Eve here and we are heading to bed ahead of a quiet Christmas Day (which we’re looking forward to) followed by our family celebration on Boxing Day. As the kids are all older and have partners it becomes a bit of a military manoeuvre to plan who sees who for which meal these days. They always see their dad and his partner for breakfast, then we alternate Christmas Day and Boxing Day each year. We are going to share a grazing platter, a bottle of fizz, watch a movie and chill with our kitty cats tomorrow. Boxing Day is a great meal of seafood, ham, Turkey and salads followed by trifle and Pavlova…

That was such a nice video Mr C. Those designer candles reminded me of a comedy called Ab Fab probably before your time !!! but they were always buying from this designer in fact Joanna Lumley was in this she was called Patsy and so very funny. I also remember Helen but can't remember what she was in but I want to say she was in an advert for yoghurt or similar, I know she was in many programmes also. I also like their clothes etc. I buy all my clothes from M&S, as they fit me well, are great quality & can be tumble dried. Regarding food, sometimes I feel guilty for not shopping at Aldi & Lidl but I’m not able to eat proper meals anymore & can never find anything in there to buy. I mainly shop in Tesco, Waitrose & Morrisons & occasionally buy a treat from M&S. Their digestives are thee best.
