Gingerbread men always remind me of my sweet mother. "The Little Gingerbread Man" is one of the first stories she learned to read when she was in school. I had made her a cross stitch gingerbread man for Christmas back in the 80's. I don't know what ever happened to it. I'm currently sewing a felt gingerbread man ornament. I'm waiting for some baby rickrack from Amazon to decorate its arms and legs. I've carried a cross-body purse for years. The one I've been using the last couple years has several pockets, and everything has its own place so I can find it - as long as I put it away properly. There's a Christmas place in Frankenmuth, Michigan. When my sister and I were visiting my older daughter in September we spent about an hour there. I bought a couple new things for Christmas tree. Bought a couple new ornaments for my younger daughter too.

How sweet is your connection with gingerbread men, Amy! I would love to see your ornaments project. I know it's adorable! Baby rickrack will be perfect for the arms and legs. 💕 There is nothing quite like a good purse that carries everything in an organized way. I am finding this one is just right for me. Hi Dear Sherry..I loved this video today…hearing how very close you are with your daughters…(I have watched the vid on your beloved son)…I have a son & his family that I severed ties with last year for my own mental health. I have just reconnected with my daughter and her little child after not having any contact for a year….My daughter’s little girl is three and I haven’t spent a Christmas with her yet, but I did see them last weekend…They live three hours away from me on the coast, which was lovely. I was fostered out when I was three and never knew my mother…I was a single parent bringing my children up and I homeschooled them and worked three jobs sometimes but GOD…Got me through all the times and HE still is… I’ve been by myself now for 34 years, I’ve been walking with the Lord for 40 years and I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 12 at a Billy Graham crusade here in Sydney Australia in 1966. Anyway that’s a little bit of my story but it just made me feel a little bit sad today because of Christmas coming and the wonderful gift that each of us have been given, Jesus! I must say you have a lovely lovely home and all of those beautiful plants I have to be naughty and ask are they real? Maybe you could show us a little bit of your home sometime if you feel that would be OK and yes, it would be great to see what you carry in your handbag, I have come to a place of caring a smaller bag to because my back no longer will let me carry those heavy large sacks!!! 😂 Blessings Marc from Down Under ❤😊

Greetings Sherry! I sincerely enjoyed your chatty video today! I absolutely love the scent of cinnamon. Our grandson placed third in a contest involving building a unique gingerbread house last year. It was so elaborate! I love your new purse, especially the compartment for your credit card and money. Those Christmas fairs are just so crowded that I get very anxious and just can't enjoy them. We used to have a big one in Fayetteville when I lived there. I've been using those microfiber cloths as dishcloths and I love them! Love and blessings ♥️🙏

Hi Jean! I love the cinnamon scent too! It's one of my favorite smells for my house. Wow...your grandson sounds talented. I bet I would have loved his gingerbread house. I don't know what draws me to gingerbread men and all things gingerbread. I even love to eat the cookies! But I've had lots of fun collecting some gingerbread things over the years. Yes, crowds bother me too. But I think it helps that they don't really bother my daughters. And they are careful that we don't get separated. I do think it would be good idea for us to go next year on a weekday instead of a weekend. They say the traffic is much less during those times. I'm so glad you're enjoying the microfiber towels. That's one thing I really enjoy about this small crossbody purse. I have seen more gingerbread decor this year than usual. Pottery Barn has lovely things and I would love to see their gingerbreads. My daughter told me that Pottery Barn had a stuffed snowman that she was crazy about but I think it was $79. She found a dupe of it at Aldi for $12.99. She sent me a picture of the Pottery Barn one in the ad next to the one she purchased at Aldi and you can hardly tell the difference. Even the scarf around the neck is the same type pattern! What a nice visit with you, while I was crocheting. That purse looks ideal! I have a crossover purse that’s smaller, too, but I need something a little bigger to tuck a smaller notebook in. I use the Swedish dish cloths exclusively now, and they last forever. I throw it on the top shelf of the dishwasher and it always looks good. It does not seem to be wearing out at all. I’ve discovered that if you squeeze out most of the water and then rub it over a stainless steel fridge or microwave, it cleans without leaving streaks. Prayers for you and your ministry!

I love all your gingerbread men finds and gifts! I like your purse too. I’ve tried to carry smaller ones, but always seem to gravitate back to the larger ones - which can hurt my neck and shoulder when they get loaded down. I have several LUG bags/purses that I like in all different sizes. Most of them have a key keeper so I can find my keys and also a pouch on the side to hold a water bottle, and have RFID protection. I literally used my first Swedish dishcloth this evening! It was in a gift basket I received for my birthday in April, but I didn't want to use it because I thought it would "mess it up"!! For some reason, tonight I decided to use it. Now, I think I may need a couple more, haha. I am so excited to learn about the magnetic necklace closures--I didn’t even know it existed! I struggle every day putting on my necklaces….🤪. Instead of an extender, I’m going to check and see if I can find something that will shorten a necklace because mine always seem to fall at the wrong place for my shirt necklines. As for Swedish dishcloths, I’ve seen them but never knew much about them. I need a new cross body bag as mine is really starting to show wear. The one you bought is lovely! IT’S ME AGAIN! LOL!😂 I commented too soon and sent it before your video had finished. You just mentioned the word of all words…Purses! Lol! I love large purses and also there are times I also use smaller crossbody bags. I am needing to downsize so badly…lol…but it’s so hard to let go of my designer larger bags that I really like. So I am back and forth. My problem is finding a SMALL wallet to put in the small crossbody. But with my back issues…I am going to have to carry smaller regardless. Hi Marsha! They had some beautiful butterfly gifts. One was a tree that had floating wires attached to the trunk, with butterflies on the other ends of the wires. It gave them appearance of butterflies, floating around the small tree!

I enjoyed this chat! The Christmas expo sounds amazing 🎄🎄🎄 I just received a large black crossbody from my husband last Christmas! I do love it and it is so nice for shopping. I still carry either my larger nylon, red Longchamp bag or my large, Coach, leather tote bag when traveling because it’s very durable and it expands if needed. I don’t know if I will ever be able to go down to a smaller size like you purchased but I’m trying 😂😂😂

A big heart felt Thank you dear Sherry, for the wonderful sharing time. Yes, my husband and I would meet our children th the Amish country for Thanksgiving to give Christmas a start. We lived in Colorado, our children lived in Nebraska and Illinois. We would bring our gifts and also Celebrate Jesus’s birth we would buy a Birthday Cake with Jesus written on top. We did that for about 10 years. Always going to the same place for our meal. Served home style. If there were leftovers we would bring them back go evening snacks. Memories are great to have . I have a magnetic closure for my pearls because a clasp replacement for the pearls would have been to too expensive. I didn’t realize it was possible to order the magnetic closures only.

I have a medium purse and after I started walking with a walker, I wanted to down size to a small purse, but I cant because my husband is diabetic and I carry his needles and medicine for him when we go anywhere. Its a pretty big case that its in. We dont feel comfortable leaving it in the car. Im allergic to nickel in jewelry ,so jewelry without nickel is expensive, well i have a necklace that i can't wear because its to tight, so thank you for telling us about the extenders. Im going to get some of those.

Hi Ella! Yes...sometimes you just need to carry a larger bag to meet certain needs. When my children were younger, I carried larger purses. Hi Barbara...It's all in one large building, which is actually three large buildings linked together. It comprises 250,000 square feet. It's at The Park Expo and Convention Center and the show fills three large spaces: Liberty Hall, Freedom Hall, and Independence Hall.
