One of my favorite Christmas memories comes from a time my dad was a firefighter. He was working Christmas Eve and Christmas, so he came to the house in his engine, lights flashing. I don't remember if he was in full gear, but I remember the lights. Everyone on his crew did the same for their kids.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone. When I was young mum and dad got sick of going to both families on Christmas so they decided to have both families at our place. Mum was carving the roast with an electric knife and sliced her hand open. I was maybe 10 and standing there waiting to help. She very calmly closed her palm which was gapping open and said can you get dad. Mum and dad and one of my uncles spent the rest of the day in emergency. The doctor said she missed the nerves and tendons by millimeters. Dad always says I spent the day at the hospital while those bastards sat and ate my food and drank my booze. 😂😂😂 Have a safe holiday everyone.

Christmas trees are on sale after the holiday. Got a $150 tree for $50 that way. had it for the last, like, 7 years. Also! Its faux flocked, meaning it LOOKS flocked because the way the "pine" is made, but it's not actually flocked, so no mess!
