THE best version of the Lost World and it deserves a lot more recognition. I always smile out of pure catharsis by the ending. A wonderful cast, solid character arcs for everyone, good visuals (no wonder considering the Walking With Dinosaurs team worked on this), and all the changes from the book are very positive. The original has some serious backwardness issues when it comes to man-woman, man-nature, white man-other races relationships, perception of dinosaurs as dumb, and scientific accuracy. Interesting maybe as a relic, not quite good as a role model for modern children. But if you think that makes it some PC movie, by jove not. You'll probably be sad that most of the very best bits aren't even part of the book but a result of said changes. I really can't praise this movie enough.

Edwards arc from coward to dinosaur slayer has always inspired me. It’s very poetic that Gladys leaves him for a coward journalist right after he turns into the dashing hero that she dreamed of exposing her true nature.

Just finished the book and hoo boy the inaccuracy is a doozy, even for a scale lover like me. I can’t wait to get ahold of this film because I remembered that I actually watched this at one point and didn’t know what it was. Now I’m eager to see what the hype is

I loved and I still love The Last World is full of adventure,funny moments ,unique traditions,lost civilizations that survived in this forgotten wildreness ,8 dinosaurs species,bigfoot creatures ,sabertooth tigers ,treasures good hide of eyes of courious people I think he can get 2 Oscar! !!!!
