While I think that's what the author intended, the glowing of Santa's hands when he picked the pup up and the fact the pup didn't react is too similar to The Little Match Girl for me to believe it was a happy ending.

@@radioactivewolfe Even good breeders are part of the problem as long as pounds are overrun with dogs. There is no need to breed more when there are so many dogs in need of homes. Good breeding is a paradox in that sense, as breeding in itself is bad. Don't breed your dogs, don't breed puppies. Odds are they will end up in pounds as well and you contribute to the problems. Once all bad breeders are out of the picture and pounds nearly empty, THEN AND ONLY THEN can we start ''good breeding'' again. There are to many dogs, and not enough homes. Bad breeders dont care about that and will keep on adding to those numbers. Therefore it's up to responsible people to stop breeding alltogether to combat this overpopulation of dogs and help prevent needless suffering. Adopt don't shop. Ever.

@@amberanime While I agree, you still have to remember that not every race of a dog fits every family. For example If you want a friend that loves hard work, large fields and activity- husky will be great for it. I would never buy a pet, also I've adopted a cat, but I understand why people may prefer to buy animal with specific characteristics. For example, you know that chow chow's won't be good with little kids (and little kids for chow chow's), so it's easier to look among the specific races than looking for that one dog in the shelter, who may or may not be good for your family and vice versa (like, you know that Scottish sheep-dog would hate to live in a small flat, so you know you can't get a dog like that with you because you'll hurt it). If you're ready for every type of a dog, then sure- adoption is the best answer, race is not important. Pseudo-breeders are the WORST actually, mainly they make the situation worse, not the breeders, because they not only are breeding as much as they "can", they also don't care what diseases have "their" dogs to begin with and they're passing them on. It also depends on the country. For example- in Germany situation is not that bad, and they definitely don't have problem with wild dogs on the streets.

I would go as far as to say this; "More than just 'Everyone deserves a warm Christmas', everyone searches for that warm, true, gentle and unconditional Love in the coldness of this World. Search and you'll find it, and then be that warm love to someone else." *by love I mean not what nowadays is made out to be 'love', where you get it only when you do something good for the other. No, unconditional love is as it says - unconditional. To put it this way: True Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. And this can be done at Christmas, yet I am still saying don't limit it to once a year ;)

i found my kitten almost exactly like this on a sad rainy day. He had an upper respiratory infection and couldn't move because he was so hungry. I think he got lost from his mommy cat. I brought him to the humane society with a friend and two weeks later, on Christmas eve, he could go home with me!! Thank u for creating this sad but happy animation!! all puppies and kittens deserve a warm happy place to belong.
