Hello friends, I got very mixed opinions on how early is too early for Christmas season to begin. But with this snowy day we've had, I just couldn't stop myself! ❄ It's getting rather festive here, and there's not escaping it. Especially today, it's storming outside and I'm afraid not a single autumn leaf will hold on. I will not, however, be putting up a Christmas tree until the first week of December. So at least that way I can enjoy the transition season for a bit longer. What are your thoughts? Too early or not? And even if it is early... are you excited? 🌲(P.S. New postcard collection is now ready for preorder! Get them here: dariamundi.com/painting-prints/ )

I'm feeling ready, but I don't start any really Christmassy stuff until the start of advent - we go to a nativity exhibition on the first Saturday of advent and that's the real start of Christmas for us!

I live in West Devon, England, and I LOVE sticky toffee pudding! We have it a lot down here in the Pubs, and I love it with ice cream. The houses in the Cotswolds are so beautiful, and so essentially English. I have brought my Christmas tree that I have grown in a pot for two years (when I had it in the house for Christmas last) into my sitting room now, and have the coloured lights on it, which is what we always had on our trees back in the 60s. I have yet to decorate it, but am looking forward to doing that. I spend Christmas Day alone with my rescue greyhound Madge, but am happy to do that, as it is just the way it is for me. Blessings to you lovely girl, from Jilly & Madge. xxx

The beautiful church doors at Stowe were also the inspiration for my young adult fantasy quest trilogy series of novels, called Soraki The Defender. I didn't know where they were at the time. I just saw a picture on pinterest. So gorgeous. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful part of the world.

Or sitting by the Doors or Durin, the famed Gates of Moria, for that matter! 😉 The imagery and cinematography in this video are so beautiful!! And your new cards are stunning too! 🤩 It will be difficult to choose among so many enchanting illustrations! 😅 And you even gave us a pudding for desert: Yum! 😋 Thank you so much for sharing the joy of these moments! 🙏👏👏👏🤗🥰😘 (PS: I'm from the green North of Spain, our weather is usually quite similar to yours... And we are sooo not prepared for it either! 😅 But I love it! 😜☔ ⛈️ 🌧️ 🌨️)

The people in the village next to my grandparents' always used to complain about the weather: too hot, too cold, too wet, to dry... Until one day, they didn't have any weather at all... (Grandma's favorite joke 👵🏻🙈 Came to mind when you talked about the weather. Lol) Beautiful video 🤍

Good morning Daria! That pudding looks amazing! 😋 I made your apple cinnamon swirl bread last week. It was sooo good. We had a little bit snow here yesterday as well and it’s already gone. 3 years is a long time with no snow! I can’t blame you for being so excited. Winter is not my favorite, but I do enjoy the beauty of the snow especially near the holidays. I would love to visit the Cotswolds one day. I hope your printer works out. Have a wonderful day sweet lady. ♥️

Good morning! 😊 Oh I’m glad the recipe turned out well! ✨ I’m not a fan of winter either, I must say, but December is the most bearable because there are so many activities to distract yourself with during festive season, so the dreary days don’t bother me so much. The rest of it, however, can be rather depressing! 😅 I hope this winter will be kind to us.

Oh, Daria, this was so charming and cozy and it brought tears to my eyes to see the beautiful Cotswolds cottages of my dreams and memories of our trips to Broadway and Stow-on-The Wold. Thank you so much for these beautiful images and your always delightful chatterings. And...the visuals of the sticky toffee pudding...oh to sit by an open fire in one of those cottages with a dish of that and maybe a glass of mulled wine...Happy Holidays to you...ours begins here in the States next Thursday as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, which is, I suppose, the opening day of our Christmas Season. Thank you for this video and all of your others. I'm so glad I found your channel and have been a follower for ages now.

Hi Daria, I've just recently discovered your channel and fell in love with it! 😊 I noticed that for some reason this year many people, including myself, are feeling like starting the Christmas season early. I can already see many Christmas trees, lights and decorations, ready and twinkling, and people feeling exactly like you do! I'm sure there is a reason for it...🎄💖

Aah thank you for watching! 🥰 Yes it does seem like it, doesn’t it! I usually refuse to even look at anything Christmas related until December 1st, but this year it just feels right already! The rogue snowy day we got also helped! 😄❄️

Such a beautiful video! When you don't see snow for years it always looks magical even if it melts away rather fast 🙃. I love how in one of the cottages the cat is sitting, thinking "what the heck is this stuff outside" 😆 Sticky toffee is definitely a great pudding to have during winter, but I must say, sticky toffee with hot custard just sounds vile to me 😆Then again, I'm not really a fan of custard at all so someone who loves it probably would disagree :P Another amazing one, well done! 😸

Thank you! Haha all cats I saw in windows that say seemed to have that exact same thought!😆 Yess I do agree with you re custard… 🤭

So for the cake itself it was light brown sugar, maple syrup and treacle (molasses) in liquid form. And for caramel it was granulated soft dark brown sugar. But if you can’t find liquid molasses then you can use the darkest type of granulated brown sugar you can find. The darker the better & it usually will be quite soft as well.
