How To Put Christmas Lights Around Windows Without Nails Or Glue\
I show you how to make a Christmas Lights holder to hold Christmas Lights for windows and doors.
We Use 1/2" PVC piping to make the holders and 4 90 degree elbows to make the holders.
It took about 15 minutes to make the holder and less than $10 to make them.
Measure the window and cut the PVC pipe to size then install the 90 degree elbows then put into window.
Next either put Christmas Lights Minis or C9 attached with zip ties.

The window idea with the pvc pipe is good! I bought thin rubber coated bicycle hooks at a discount store, then screwed them under my fascia year round. All I have to do each year is string my lights on those hooks, and they also stay out of the weather. I also screwed small 1/2 inch stainless steel cup hooks into my cedar fence around my entire property, and on my deck, and hang lights and garland from those hooks. Easy breezy, and the hooks don't rust and leave stains on my wood fence.!

I love seeing Christmas decorations lit up outside. In Scotland our outside window and door sills slope downward, I don’t know how the pvc frame would stay in place, I guess adaptions could be made to hold things in place.

Get a piece of 3/4 pvc, cut the pipe in half length wise, cut the half pipe pvc into 1 to 2 inch pieces, drill a hole into the pvc pipe, screw to wood facia or hot glue the pvc pieces on, then the 1/2 inch pvc should snap right into the 3/4 inch holder…

How is the pipe frame fixed to the house though? Is it literally just wedged in with friction holding it in place? I want to try this but I live in the UK and we always get storms at some time during December so won't the strong winds blow it off?

There is no sill on my outdoor windows....just a 1/2” aluminum frame *around* the window, on a vinyl sided home. So I used 2x2 wood strips, with cable straps with a 9/16th screw holding each C7 led Christmas light of a 70 set string, which makes the lights uniform when lit up at night. Depending on window size, you may have to extend or shorten the light string. There are video’s on KZbin showing how best to accomplish that.

Let me begin by saying great idea, but since you are already making the light strand to whatever length you need, why not just leave an extra 2 feet at the beginning with no lights so you can plug it indirectly to the strand above the gutter. This would eliminate the little "jumper" you had to make and the extra plug/connection. Just a thought.

That's exactly what I plan on doing. Your like a life saver!!!! I no longer dread putting up the lights every year. I use to get 1 window done a night with my packing tape, taping every single light as straight as I could directly to the window and sometimes even packing tape wouldnt work if it was cold outside and or grease from my fingers...so annoying.
