Hello my friend. It is a great coincidence that I made a different shoe rack than the pallet. I edited his video right now. However, as I upload new videos to the channel, I will plan to be broadcast over the weekend. I will include it on the Saturday release schedule next week. Great and authentic in your design. It's a nice project. You did a good job. Congratulations. Thank you so much for sharing. Great greetings.

Great video! A shoe rack is on my honey-do list too. I’ve never used pallet wood before. It does seem to give a nice rustic flair or projects that do use it.

Nice, you can use the free plans I offer if you like to. Pallet wood is one of my favorites, not only for the look but because it is free wood too, LOL.

Pretty cool! We have a store bought thing that telescopes to make it fit more shoes... And STILL does not have room for my wife's collection of shoes...and they don't stay on it. This may be on a list of the many "get'r done" projects. 😇😎

WOW, thank you so so much for the shout out! Another awesome build, I’m tempted to make a similar shoe rack for near our front door, however maybe make it half the height? Will have to get the tape measure out and have a look at what space we’ve got haha

I’ve never seen pallet wood that nice colour in the uk. Did you treat or to get the dark colour? Think the hardest part is breaking up the pallet without breaking every bit of wood!
@christofix4 жыл бұрын
The wood has not been processed with a product but has naturally aged. Here in Belgium, you can find these pallets en masse. I then leave them outside for a while so that rain and sun will make the color gray even deeper in the wood. Taking the pallets apart is indeed a lot of work, but I have already found that it works better when the wood is wet. I then take them apart and put them in a dry place for a few months. I hope I was able to answer your question. Thank you for watching. Greetings

Tried this for my first ever project. I made a lot of mistakes like, cutting all the planks before starting to build it up.. lot of plank was not straight so following the instructions and mesures wasn't a good idea. Lot of plank were too short. So I used like 7 more planks that I needed .. especially the 3 on the top, and the 3 for "covering" on the front. Lesson learned lol.

Why do you sand the wood down I’m curious to take the roughness away or lettering or? Thanks
@christofix3 жыл бұрын
Hi George. To answer your question, I did it to get rid of the roughness as I fear my kids or myself will get hurt by splinters. It also looks softer and cleaner that way and I like the color better when it's sanded. I hope I have been able to answer that question. If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask them, always ready to help. Thanks for watching, George. Regards
