What I find interesting about this video is, that Hitchens makes such dramatic revelations, that everyone interrupts him. He hardly gets out one complete sentence before he is interrupted time and time again. It's a commentary on American media.

It's amazing watching old clips of Hitch and seeing how right he was about everything. It's the result of being true to yourself and always telling the truth. You are missed Christopher Hitchens.

Imagine if McCain had won the presidency with Palin in toe as vice president. The threat of her making it all the way to the white house and the chance she would step in as president if something happened to McCain scares the shit out of me.

Some Dude with Opinions There was no way any Republican was going to win coming off the Bush years. The fact he did as well as he did is deserving of respect. That said, Palin was undeniable his single biggest mistake during that campaign-but when you look at the context of the times, you can at least understand why he threw the dice on her. But it came up snake eyes.

​@@huckster699is that true? Hitchens was against Islam as a religion in general, whereas Cruz did it on the grounds of "my religion is better than yours". I don't think that Hitchens would agree on being against Islam just for sort of bigotry grounds.
