You sound as if that he was not lying before that. He clearly lies when he tries to pretend that in his religion there is no authority while its political system clearly professes a monarchy style political authority called caliph. In fact he lied in every single exchange he had in this debate, except the one about Roman Polansky. Hitchens rightly identified it as "he is dodging the question".

Someone mentioned that she has a thick Arabic accent instead of a Persian one, so maybe she was lying about being from Iran. Anyway, what she was saying might be true for a few cities but it is a blatant lie to pretend that she is free to do that in the majority of places in Iran.

Yeah this is the religious belief that all the suffering is a "test". So an earthquake and the suffering it brings is necessary and one should not build buildings which will not fall during earthquakes because then it will remove the test.

It’s TRULY belief in an absolute FAIRY TALE that MOST little CHILDREN work out is an outrageously unbelievable make believe story! Hitchens is very dogmatic which is something he accuses the church of being. He should have aimed more for the truth than authority, his oeuvre would have been much fuller for it.
