These men were the end of an era. With the passing of Sir Christopher, it has become painfully obvious that there will never again be three actors (let alone one) who will emit the level of class that these 3 men did. I'm not okay with that. It makes me sad. But, this alarming realization does make Vincent, Peter and Chris all the more special. For over two years this era has been over. I feel the void more and more each day. I'm glad I have access to their interviews and films. It creates a warnesss in my heart that not much else can. I'm only 36, but I grew up on these films. Pre-internet...I had accumulated all of their films on VHS by the mid nineties (paying upwards to 200.00 for one out of print video tape). I was a teenage detective hunting down these films without the use of any internet. Lots of reading, researching and long distance calls were involved (and pissed off parents I might add). I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on. God bless these men and their families.

On a whole... As much as I like Christopher Lee and I do. I'd rather sit with Peter Cushing , Vincent Price and depending on how he was behaving at the time Oliver Reed. Peter Cushing was indeed a gentleman. Quiet soft spoken and a man who loved his fans. Vincent Price who in reality wasn't anywhere near as scary as he behaves in movies. He had a wonderful nature and sence of humour. And made no bones about his deep care for fans. For a horror movie actor who didn't scare young fans who adored him. Oliver Reed I see as an amazing talent . But he was far too unpredictable. When he was drunk (unfortunately more often than not) no person was safe from his practical jokes and sadly often bad temper. He was ok when he was sober. Like he was here. Christopher Lee still scares the hell out of me.

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man when he flew into the airport that I was working at the time. A true movie icon and for the short time i was in his company i really felt i was in the company off movie greatness. Christopher was about 92 years old at the time and i have a wonderful photo of that meeting that I often look at with great fondness.

These men (Peter Vincent and Christopher) were the end of an era. Collecting their films (at such a young age) gave me incentive to work and save as much as I could. I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on. God bless these men and their families.

I grew up watching them in the 80s. No internet then and you were lucky to get a VHS tape. The demise of these three actors in heartbreaking. I used to live near Peter Cushing in Kent, when I was at University there. Never got to meet any of them. All 3 of them were just charming, intelligent and unique. Bless them. I miss them to this day

Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing - these great gothic stars could never been replaced. They came from another era and had the faces and the presence for these characters. There ist no modern actor who had their qualities oder their background.

The Lee family looked liked very charming people.. This video really reminds me that you can have a great family and terrific friends. But sadly time marches on and such great people will all pass away. Live the best life you can with the time you have left. 👍

I grew up in Ireland. In the 1980s -90s and in a less than ideal home. Christopher Lee and Hammer house horror movies are some of my happiest memories. A versatile and outstanding actor. Much loved.

Watched this guy as a kid play Dracula, become Saruman from my most favorite book LOTR. Our society now doesn't have a place for this type of class anymore.

Ahhhhhh, so many greats who are no longer with us. I know death is inevitable, but I wish there was just more time. The older I get, the faster the days fly bye.

I've see quite a few of these "This is your life" episodes and many times the the person being honored is awkward or uncomfortable with the unknown aspect of the show, but Christopher and his family look like they are having a ball here. Vincent Price was also so charming and funny here, what titans these men were.

What I find interesting is how many of the British actors were intelligence/SOE operatives during WWII. Christopher Lee, David Niven and others. But it is also amazing how closely knit this group of stars is.

I share my birthday with some amazing horror film actors, that I can remember sneaking to watch as a kid in the middle of the night, as I loved scary movies even at a very young age. I can remember being 5 and having the biggest crush on “Dracula”. ❤️🧛🏻♂️

@@ianbentley7276 Thanks for the reminder, I'll look it up. I hate the Aspel one he did drunk, with everyone taking the piss - he was too good for that. Watching clips of the first Musketeers movie from 1973, and am reminded what a brilliant villain Christopher Lee was playing Roqueforte. This is a particularly funny clip - enjoy! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHuYknqcZc9lbMU
