In 1989, sequels were just starting to transition broadly into being given first-class productions. Superman IV was the ultimate victim of talentless producers licensing a brand name just to make a cheap production that cashed in on the original film.

Reeve acted in Jeannot Swarc's Somewhere in Time(1980). He also appeared in a JC Penny TV spot.

Good interview - don't think I'd ever seen it before. Reeve very honest about the Superman sequels. I think he only made one too many, but can understand why he regrets Superman 3 too. He was great in it and there are some good moments in it, but the movie is ruined overall by Richard Pryor's OTT performance and some of the decisions the producers made.

did 2 too many supermans? nah III is awesome and even IV is a fun watch. if anything shouldve done 2 more! and BTTF2 is def the best in the trilogy!

BTTF2 is amusing cos the future year 2015 is now 8 years ago lol. The best part is when they go back to 1955 and have to avoid their previous selves from the first film. I like BTTF2 cos it came out in 1989 and that was a pivotal year for me. superman 3 is amusing but a bit disjointed. Superman 4 had so many bits cut out of it that the official release made no sense.
