When I was five years old Christopher Reeve showed me that a real man wasn't defined by his strength but by who he protects and loves. The world really needs his strength right now and I can't wait to see this celebration of his life. He sure raised some great kids.

I was paralyzed and lost my legs in 2012. I did neuro recovery at one of the Christopher and Dana Reeve sponsored centers. Thank you for your father and a you continue to do. Hopefully someday we can cure spinal cord injury. It's one of the most if not the most devastating things a person can go through.

I never met Christopher but knew his sister in college, where his father and stepmother were my teachers. During the last conversation I had with Alya, she told me that her brother had just landed the rôle of Superman and I was so happy for him but what he portrayed on screen was nothing compared to what he achieved in his personal life. I loved “Somewhere in Time” for the ache of his romantic longing, “The Bostonians” for his Merchant Ivory side, and “Superman” for his awkward Clark Kent. He was a great actor and seeing his children carrying on his legacy brings me tears. I have been waiting to see this film, and I wish his family all the best.

Wow, I met him and these two children when they were very young probably not even ten. It was before Christopher Reeve married Dana in fact the mother of these two children might have been there that day but I'm not really sure. My husband had his pilots licence and we were at the small local airport where he had learned to fly. He went up with his son and I opted to stay in the airport lounge. One of the pilots was there that gave lessons and he convinced me to go up in his bi-plane plane. When we landed Christopher was just coming in behind us. The pilot I was with wanted me to meet them so we went over and they were all very sweet. We went into the plane and Christopher was showing me around. He was a BIG BIG handsome guy. And very very nice. Fun experience. He had a home close by in Williamstown mass. He often did the theatre there.

These is a very privileged family. CR had the resources needed to care for someone with this type of serious injury. I hope this was also discussed in his life story. My husband was a 37 yr old, father of three, who suffered a similar injury. He was a Registered Land Surveyor. He was a good and hard working husband and father. We all greatly suffered. The care our health insurance and eventually Medicaid covered was very limited. His needs were not met. My children were robbed of a father. He was extremely depressed. Getting the help he needed was very difficult and unreliable. I had to work full time to pay bills and support my family. I eventually left him as I could not do it all and feared I would become ill and my young children would suffer more. I felt angry after I saw this interview. Not being healthy or wealthy in this country is a punishment. 💙
