Chef Claudio’s face when Mai said “None of the flavours really worked for me” 💀. This episode totally exposed Thea and Mai’s ugly tactics, no way they threw Christopher under the bus like that. I felt so bad for him and he came back really strong completely nailing the upcoming challenge.

@@AnonymousLaibaso true. I love how Chef Claudio and Chef Alvin backed up Chris. I think the ice cream was really innovative and it was obvious that Thea and Mai were threatened by Christopher’s creativity so they were not afraid to put his dish down and the chefs could totally read their intentions.

@@AnonymousLaibachris was definitely the strongest cook here, but since the ice-cream was too overwhelming for their pallets, they decided to basically “attack” chris and saying nothing good about his dish.

ahmmm, you might wanna replace Mai with Andy, considering he was the other one who voted Chris in last place (and even admitted it was 100% strategic)

Ironically Mei who won this week would be eliminated the following episode and Christopher would win the next week and the season - what a comeback!

they could have been much more kinder and positive......the judges were an excellent example. part of being top chef...is also being a person who has vision for others

Chris’ high concept dessert was made for high concept people. He had no idea they’d be grading each other’s works. It felt really unfair. He did exceptional here, he deserves the credit for his very unique and innovative dish. It may not have been perfect but it did not deserve to fail. This whole episode, while a fun gimmick on paper, really bothered me. It was too easy to manipulate everyone.

i agree, i didn’t like how there were strategic rankings and those played out as advantages and disadvantages in the next episode. Seemed unfair

"it means so much to be voted as the best dish of the night and this is coming from my fellow competitors, that means they ate and liked my dish" yet u and other people voted christopher poorly just because he's a strong cook while other people really liked his dessert...

You may give the other competitors some flak, but the competition was set up this way. You're asking them to judge each other, so of course they're going to have a massive bias, especially towards the one they find most threatening.

I really wonder wether the judges would have sent the last-placed cook home if they had agreed with the decision And Thea being allowed to judge Mai's dish (which she couldn't eat) was an absolute disgrace

As a foodie, I fully understand all the comments of the dish is personal and subjective, an adventurous dessert dish like Christopher's can miss when it faces those who doesn't like this type of food. Thankfully the judges look beyond that and give Christopher a second chance, which is a great lesson for him to consider his dish in the future for a more general approach.

Don't understand why people are harsh towards Mai, First of all this a competition, she has the right to state her opinion if the rules allow it, & this was a voting episode, it's natural that she wants to eliminate the strongest cook, The only person that i couldn't stand in this whole season is Thea, she is annoying & the looks of her eyes really scares me, it's obvious that she hate Chris, and that if she gets criticized you can see how much she is annoyed & unhumble, unlike Chris, who accepted the critz with a heartbeat I hate Thea
