This video is an ode to humanity: a tribute to those who push us forward as a people. It's a reminder that we're capable of achieving great things: by leaning on the accomplishments of those who came before us, but also harnessing the passion, imagination, and determination of those who see great things ahead.
This new recording of 'Sogno di Volare' is performed by the Royal Opera Chorus, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Anna Lapwood on organ. We recorded it at Abbey Road with William Spaulding conducting the ROC, and me conducting the RPO. I'm immensely excited about it, and I hope you all love it as well! It's the first track on my new album 'To Shiver the Sky', an oratorio about the history of humankind's quest to conquer the stars. Lyrics are an adaptation of Leonardo da Vinci's writings on flights, with help from my friend Chiara Cortez. The piece was originally composed as the theme song for the video game Civilization VI.

I just wanted to say thanks, Chris, after years. I felt despair and got tired in the past (like everyone else in the world) and I often listened to this beautiful piece of music. It was so helpful for getting on my feet and believe that no matter how dark the world we have created, even a little, microscopic water drop can change everything, like this music. I listen to this piece quite often, as it is truly one of the greatest compositions that has ever blessed my ears, but I cannot believe how incredibly emotional this particular video made me. It's easy to get lost with all the negative noise in the world, especially these days, but this beautiful visual art with this unbelievable music somewhat restores my faith in humanity. It is a solid reminder of humanity's great accomplishments, be it scientific/technological advances, successful and progressive civil rights/social causes, or humanitarian victories. It is nice to take a step back and see that humanity, with all our missteps and accomplishments, is truly beautiful. We were made for greatness. Keep the faith in humanity. I found this piece of art while playing Civ VI, I've always think it's a really inspiring song, but I wanted to hear it someday when I had achieved something great, now here I am. I got one of the best scores on the university admision exams at a national level and I'll be able to study for free in my dreamed university. It was really harde, and there were times in which I thought it was imposible, some people told me I was crazy, and even some of my relatives told me they were ashamed of me three weeks ago. I spent my Christmas alone as they were ashamed to be seen with me, now they are the first to show up when I'm invited to some meeting with a local authority. It was rough, I cried lots of nights, but here I'm now, writing about my success in the comment section of a wonderful song. Never give up people, the only one who can stop you is yourself.
