Amazing video, this guy from 4th minute put a cap on and looks like a mysterious gnome that we see only in fairytales, haha, so so cute and beautiful! Loove that guy, amazing people and amazing doc!:)

Interesting use of a daba. Used as tool for digging earth for farming, it can be sharpened for this use.

A daba is thin and light, good for cultivating. An axe or an adze is heavier, with a thicker, narrower blade, and is usually made of higher quality steel.

Yes, they use to wood of the Ceiba pintindra or Ceiba tree, perhaps faux kapokier. It is very similar to pine in weight, grain, and color.
