Not only the Cinematic Studio Series are amazingly sounding and programmed, Alex Wallbank is an amazing guy that all developers should follow when it comes to treating their costumers.

Additional input, they have great customer service. Hands down my number one orchestral sample library company.

Got the solo strings. Like all libraries, it fits a little bit of a niche, so it has limitations. It's a little hard to tweak some aspects of the sound, but, honestly, I don't care to tweak it a lot because it's so gorgeous out of the box. It's obnoxiously beautiful, so it's not the best for some more dry or fast passages, but they designed it intentionally so, and I was more than happy when I first heard it in my monitors. The only thing I loved more than the product was their customer service. John and Alex are the nicest guys, and I can't believe that they are so quick to assist so many people with so many demands. Bottom of the line: they're the only company from which I've bought and had zero regrets. Just get it.

This is as close to perfect a sample library set for orchestral instruments gets when it comes to programming. The sound is amazing as well. Can't wait for the percussion as the cherry on top, and I hope they pull some surprises on us!

I actually like the fact that there's no social media for them, in keeping with their focus on the basics!

hey chris, how do the articulation sets in logic work with the "switch" between short notes - for example - stacc, spicc etc? are they all on the same note/ks? can you make a ks for each "locked" articulation or is it just allocated to the default setting you have on at that time?

This buyers guide is great. I've been tossing up between a few libraries but CS is looking more and more tempting

Put it on my wish list for Christmas😁. Great sounding library. I’m a Spitfire geek but this library is different, can feel at once the warmth character of the patches.👍👍. Thanks Chris for posting a review of this.😊

I really appreciate Cinematic Studio in many ways. Definitely top notch sampling. The only thing I don't always like is the sound of the room. And the delays perhaps... but I got used to those

what ive come to learn over time is that you can change the sound but u can't change the programming ;) that's why the CSS is so great

I like that Alex W just wants to write music and make money creating software, and doesn't turn himself into a celebrity. If anything, he actively avoids it.

Great video. Have you had any experience with the Century series from 8Dio, Chris? I own CSW, and love it! However, for my strings, brass and harp I am very interested in the Century series for its extended list of techniques and controlled sound. Moreover, it's way more affordable than the Cinematic Studio series and will be also rolling out on the new Sound Paint sampler that is a new generation sampler compared to Kontakt.

Thank you! Alas I haven’t; I was already covered when I discovered the Century stuff and never dove in.
