MIght interest you to learn that the company still make this style of double pedals today; the drummer from Living Colour's a long-time user of their pedals, and even Roger Taylor played Sleishman kits from time to time.

I met Don sleishman numerous times, he is from my hometown and as a drummer, I loved sleishman drums and always used the 13” snare in the studio, that thing was loud. I NEVER KNEW SLEISHMAN INVENTED THE DOUBLE KICK.

I don't know why I like the pedal treading of this drummer. It looks very pure, without a tuner. And most drummers play it by swinging. If this is not, it is like being stepped on. In fact, I prefer it that way So I also learned this style of play. thanks bro 🙏👏

I had the pleasure of playing this very same double pedal setup. the Band Living Colours drummer Wil Calhoun is well known for playing this double pedal setup. in fact when I played this double pedal it was on Wil Calhouns drum set at the time he asked me to play it for him so he could see how his drumset sounded in the audience seats. So much fun to play!!

I’m lucky enough to know Don & David Sleishman, actually when I was 11 David was my first drum teacher for 5yrs & he actually brought his own Twin Pedal over my place, when I said I wanted to learn double kick, but it gets better, when I asked David can I get him & his dad build me a custom drum kit, I was like a kid in a candy store when I got to go to their factory & see how it was made, there was sooooo much awesome drum memorabilia including the double kick. Not only do they make incredible drums, they are absolutely incredible human beings too, both are top blokes through & through

Awesome to see pedals I've played and made for over 20 years come to light. Awesome video! Fingers crossed the 4th gen will go into production one day. I was involved in developing and making the 2nd 3rd and 4th generation of theses pedals. The newest modular cnc machined version will be insane. Newer models are faster with more control and power than this model. Anything anyone wants to know about the sleishman twin, im more than happy to share my 20 plus years experience.

I LOVE the idea of the two hi-hats side by side! It kinda gives off triplet hi-hat vibes and I feel like it would be a perfect setup because you could really use the floor Tom to your advantage and really switch things up by using those hi hats in the same way as a double bass kit!

I thinknyou should deep dive into Sleishman. This guy was a master drum innovator for years, inventing stuff that the big companies would copy for decades, like free floating shells with no lug attachments to the shell. Also look into Arbiter. These guys were WAY ahead of their time.

Your playing is absolutely incredible & if there's ever been anyone I want to see run with dual-hats, it's you. Had a Yamaha cable hat to the right of my kick for years & it really facilitated beautiful & totally unorthodox fills - but I can't even imagine where you'd take it. I'm begging you to make it a permanent addition to your kit! You will come up with stuff that will blow your own mind. It's quite the secret weapon even for players on your level because it's so rarely done. Virgil Donati clinics in the 90's are the last prominent example I can even think of.

It was an amazing piece of kit. Unfortunately I snapped one of the footplates & couldn't get a replacement so it went in the bin!....Pity! Nice drumming btw! xx

I started drumming because I just fkn had to and I never had any lessons. I can’t do anything rudimentary like a drum roll but I play metal and my set-up is very particular. I think this pedal would be perfect for me. Sans the sliding issue, (which I’m used to). But that is what duct tape is for.
