As soon as Ricky said "I grew up in an era of Halo 2 online" I knew his trash talking was top tier LMAO IYKYK
@YourXellency4 сағат бұрын
I agree. Trash talk was at its peak when Halo 2 was first online. Everybody was racist, sexist, anyist. It was a golden time to be on the mic. I remember people going mad when I would say "MY NAME IS IN THE BIBLE!" and going G.O.D. on everybody in the match. Good times.
@JacksonWalter7354 сағат бұрын
I'm so envious of you. I was born after the Xbox 360 was released and missed out on the prime Xbox years. When I play COD on Xbox Series X, there aren't that many people online and they rarely have a mic either. I see old videos of guys playing the OG MW2 or Black Ops and it makes me wish I could have a lobby where everybody shit talks to the point where we can't even hear or understand each other.

@Hellaluyeah13 сағат бұрын
@@kamfisher1714 I can't talk for everybody, but Edge is a favorite of mine from long back. So him saying "vanilla midget" is a wink wink nudge nudge. Kevin Nash seriously ruined my first experiences with wrestling, along with Hogan. I watched the dogshit finger poke of doom era in WCW as a child, at the age when you want to see the good guys win at least some of the times. So THAT guy in my experience has no right to talk down to others. I never saw Nash, the good wrestler. So fuck that guy.

Still don't understand why AEW did that. It made Jack Perry look weak. AEW should have made him the Devil instead of Adam Cole. Jack Perry could actually wrestle since he wasn't injured, would have been so over with the AEW diehard fans, has a history with MJF, and it could have elevated another one of the four pillars. Jack Perry could have still used his scapegoat gimmick too after coming back as the devil. I don't understand why Tony Khan wanted to humiliate Jack Perry when he could have been even more over without the backstage footage being released.

Doesn't take much to figure out Tony Khan is trying to keep Ricky and the Lucha Bros away from WWE while killing any hype and momentum for them. Ricky trying to stay classy and not burn bridges is the right choice, though. Don't want to show any future bosses that you're some vindictive individual. This is no tribalism thing from me. It just seems obvious when Ricky isn't injured and out here saying he wants to wrestle and in the prime of his life while not receiving any contact from the company he works for. Side note: I love that Ricky says what Henry Cavill does and calls "extreme" fans "passionate". Yes, some people are over the top, but it just means they care. It means they are invested. It means they haven't reached the point of complete indifference. It's silly to invalidate the feelings of FANS just because their thoughts don't align with yours.

Had a shitty interview experience this morning. Ricky talking about focusing on positives and avoiding depression is honestly making my day better

Tony doesn’t give a fuck about him and won’t use him. He has the talent to be world champ but Tony doesn’t think so obviously. Tony Khan is a terrible boojer

All I know is we want more Ricky in the ring! Absolute always delivers, can't wait to see what's in the future for this man!

Man I love the way RIcky Starks' mind works and the way he explains/carries himself. I really hope he has a better opportunity to prove himself in the future. Ricky Starks should have been the face of Collision after CM Punk was no longer around. Ricky Starks is great in the ring and a killer on the mic. He has it all.

Guy's gonna be a star no matter where he goes, if people are holding him back for supporting his friends then he should get out of there, their loss.

All this talk about not knowing why he's not used, and speculating about why he's not being used, I don't get it like.... can't he just walk into Tony's office and ask why?? like just talk to him, he's your boss. At the very least, you should know the reason, if not, just tell the man to fucking book you or ask for your release. What a weird situation. Big fan of Ricky, really hope we see him again soon

I really don’t understand what Tony’s problem is, let Ricky go. It’s obvious he wants out. It’s obvious he wants to go and join Cody, Jade and Punk in WWE. Just let him go. Tony in this situation is what Vince was in 2019, hoarding talent he isn’t using just because he doesn’t want them to go to the competitor. That’s not a good way of running your company. Ricky could be so good in WWE, let him go Tony.

Ricky Starks is a real one, that’s why I love the dude, how can you not

Ricky Starks is what a wrestler should be, not caring about what others think and even supporting their friends no matter the status of their companies differences.

I know Cody was thinking of his worst match when Ricky was talking about how his tryout match with him was gonna be a match of the year contender lmao This is a great interview, and I’m glad to hear Ricky talk about what he’s got going on and how he goes through stuff in the business.

19:54 talking trash in Halo 2. Love it! Also criminal that Ricky isn't on TV.
