Met him once in a hotel gym in the 1990's. Literally 5 minutes after he walked in there was about 10 of us and he had us all crying with laughter.

Jim is the consummate professional. In more than 40+ years of working comedy clubs and the various other venues, I'm yet to see him bomb. Oh, and he's always been the first person to help me to improve. Jim's a top act, top fellow, and a top comedian.

Came to this video from watching his panto "sinderella". The jokes are the same, and pretty much in the same order too. Back then, the jokes were funny, but even this time around you can hear the audience didn't laugh as much. The same thing happened with Ken Dodd tbh, but atleast he had the decency to die, so we are waiting for Jim to do that bit...
