@TheCajunGaijin3 ай бұрын
I get your visual cues for why you think the wheels fit well. And coming from cars. But on the same token saying that we can run -100 or tucked into the frame with 35s is wrong. There are certain fitments that work and help to avoid rubbing with certain tire sizes. I don't know anything about the new Tacoma but I assume you had to add the lift you did to help clear the 35s. Personally I don't like having wheels on a 4x4 stick out that far because I don't want my windows covered in dirt, mud, water when I am on trails. Not to mention the paint on the side of the vehicle is gonna get wrecked from stone chips. But it comes down to your use case and your style. But at the end of the day people are probably running +25 on a certain width because it also helps with clearance. Very interesting to see if you get this twisted up off-road if it doesn't run anywhere. If it doesn't then the fitment is perfect after all. Regardless of it sticking out the fender a bit. 😅
@ChromaticGarage3 ай бұрын
That was more so just a joke man. Building a truck to go offroad and not cutting atleast a few inches of OEM body is just not going to happen. Cutting for fitment is always the way when it comes to 4 way articulation
