Hi again Shaun , I watched your recent walk at the roaches the other day and it inspired myself and my wife to walk it today. Just arrived back! Chrome hill looks amazing as well and as we are new to this part of the peaks we will definitely be back . Bet the camping out was great Cheers Craig

Wild camping is NOT ALLOWED on Chrome Hill

A great wildcamp. It's nice to have a Dad who is interested and shares in a passion. I remember coming down off Parkhouse Hill for the first time. I think my comment was 'oh god'. That shale slide down off Parkhouse Hill was definitely interesting. Thanks for sharing all this time ago.

100% - priceless times. Yeah the scramble from PH is really dodgy on the road side isn't it, especially when there's some mud or ice. One to avoid in those conditions!

Hi Shaun, another great video. I believe Chrome Hill itself is known as the Dragon’s Back. Parkhouse is so steep and you are right, any rain or ice and it becomes really sketchy! It’s a really nice area in that part of the Peaks and you have inspired me to check it out more fully. It must be possible to combine Chrome and Parkhouse with a longer route and more Peaks…. time to look at the OS app 👍

Hi Greg, thanks for clarifying but I’m sure you get what I mean by Parkhouse also having that spine appearance. Yes there is a great loop from Longnor that takes you by both then back around. You can bag High Wheeldon too. Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Circular on AllTrails www.alltrails.com/trail/england/derbyshire/chrome-hill-and-parkhouse-circular Hopefully that loads for you.

Hi Shaun, yes there are a number of hills around there that could qualify for the title! They are certainly interesting shapes. I will check that route out for sure, thank you!

Nice spot on top of the Hill. A little breeze would have been nice for y’all but worth it for the view!

@@ShaunPettigrew yeah lots of moaners. As long as you don’t make a mess I don’t see the issue. And I don’t get why people would watch your vid just to complain. Thanks for the reply much appreciated Shaun.

@@ShaunPettigrew it is fair enough if people want to wild camp but you are supposed to ask land owners permission!!!! If that had been done then we could have explained this!!!!
@ShaunPettigrew3 жыл бұрын
@@heatheretches5872 didn’t realise it was permission based but thanks for heads up. My motto is pitch late, leave early and leave no trace.
