The tank was in a bad state for sure but Alan said that he could repair and re-chrome it for us and I was glad to hear that because it saved the original petrol tank for the full restoration of the Velocette Venom that we are doing for our customer which has been in their family for a very long time. This is why we have been using Marque Restore for the last 15 years, on all our chrome work. Everything is done to the highest standard and we wouldn't use anyone else! Thanks once again guys. Copper and chroming is the easy part. Part a few people can do is repairs and polishing. Good job.

I think repair with lead will last longer than the common polyester putty, am I wrong?

You are correct, also it needs to be metal so we can electroplate it.

So how are you going to cope with 2tier wanting to ban chrome plating due to enviroment issues. Fun fact i ised to tig weld led and what your doing is an art form and a rare to see now nice job. How true was it david bowie had a fully chrome mini and how tiem involed would have that been and what woulf the weight of ot be ❤❤

Woah, a lot of questions there. Chrome was banned from 1st July 2023. You must have special authorisation to carry on, we do. The famous David Bowie mini did not have chromed bodywork, it was wrapped in a 'chrome like' metallic wrap. Press were a bit misleading in how it was described.
