Contaminated cows with "Mad cow disease" are broken down & used for bone meal. Prions don't die, they're present in the bone meal gardeners use, inhaling it as they spread it 🤯

This one doesn't look as bad as others I have seen. Its not as thin and seems like mind and behavior pretty normal. Its sad we see more deer on rd hit than in forests here during hunting season. We used to have a lot here and would expect more with all the building around us and we have land with forests and water sources. I dont know why people dont talk more about the wild life like hardly any birds any more. Im 41, my husband few years older and we remember tons of birds everywhere and on power lines and couldn't eat on beach for all birds but now go and there are none. I know the pole shift and magnetic field is partially to blame but know much more than that. I am military cbrn specialist and doctor in combat hospital with veterinarians in our group. I also have farm. But I think anyone over 35 remembers how different it was growing up and seeing wildlife and clouds and other things that now are so different.

A lot of the reduction of bird population is from changing agriculture practices and increased maintenance of the land around roads. A lot of the tall grasses are mowed down now, dead falls are cleared away, brush is eliminated, and this leaves fewer places for birds to hide. Not saying that's the entire problem, but is certainly a contributing factor where I'm from. We had a big hail storm here about a decade ago and populations have just seemed to never make it back yet.

If the deer could talk: “I feel really bad… Can you help me?”. Reading about Chronic Wasting Disease reminds me of a similar rare rare disease found in humans called CJD. Untreatable and a friend’s wife died quickly from it. Autopsy said the brain was like a sponge with large voids. Chronic Wasting describes similar spongy brain conditions. In human & deer both cause by Prions, a misfolded Protein in the brain. Though no large connection to eating animal meats, the article said avoid contact with the brain and spinal cord. Which tells me call DNR, Game Warden etc. Not worth the risk unless you are starving to death in the remote wilderness.

But the deer were never even tested for CWD, there is no reason to believe that was the cause. CJD (the disorder they died of) is actually known to occur spontaneously. There was no actual link proven the only thing that claim came from is 'Oh, these two people died from CJD and (gasp!) they are hunters as well! Must mean CWD caused it!' and then the media ran with it as if them being hunters was proof in itself of a causal link. And then other people like this commenter take the articles at face value and assume the reporters did their due diligence so they try warning other people. Such is the spread of misinformation, which to be clear I don't blame this person for. Prions cause Chronic Wasting & Mad Cow Diseases, kuru, zombie deer disease & others; scientists think prions cause Alzheimer's & Parkinson's through surgical instruments, that's why they're not using reuse ones, only disposables ones now!! There are at least nine avid hunters in New Brunswick, Canada who've eaten deer, elk and moose meat they've harvested, and are now dead from encephalitis very similar to mad cow disease!! They DIED slow, painful deaths from this!! Prions are not killed by 2,000° heat from autoclaves; that's why many hospitals have recently begun using throwaway tools, not reusable ones! CAN'T COOK IT ENOUGH TO KILL THESE PRIONS!! Be careful, folks! Remember a few years ago, when wild boar got into a field of spinach near Chualar, California (just south of Salinas); dozens were infected with e-coli, a few died? How? Why? Feces from those boar! How are prions spread? From deer, elk and moose urinating on grass or plants, then other animals eat that grass or plant. What if: they urinate on berries, mushrooms, ginger root, truffles and other plants we harvest from the wild, eat them and ingest and infect themselves with prionic diseases!??! What if the predators who eat these infected animals are then infected themselves? We could have bear, wolves, coyotes, big cats infected - even our dogs or cats could get it, from eating a carcass in the wild! Then what? They piss on the grass, we step in it and cross-contaminate our homes?? We'd better be very, very careful! Here's a relevant video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqiWlHmJpLd3etk

The issue is that we can't just go about shooting animals that look sick. We have to, at the very least, have a valid tag for that animal. Not to mention permission on the private land it's on. And while each state is different, most have rules about how far away from the centerline of the road a person must be to discharge a firearm. The warden could be called, but if the warden puts him down, it's very likely that the person reporting would not be able to harvest the meat, or the antlers, and even if they were allowed to do so, they may not want to feed their family with a CWD-infected animal, despite the science that shows it hasn't spread to humans, each person can and should make that decision for themselves.
@ApeJayy5 ай бұрын
@@hunt_trap_fishAll your yapping was proven nonsense when you mentioned eating a deer with CWD that was just put down by a warden. What kind of nasty person would eat a deer that had to be put out of its misery in this day?
@hunt_trap_fish5 ай бұрын
@@ApeJayy well, I didn’t say anything to that extent. I gave the reasons why a person cannot just pull off the road and shoot an animal. I tried to do so in a way that was educational and gave good reasons for why it would be a bad idea to pull over and shoot something, regardless of what kind of shape it’s in. I then pointed out - or tried to - that if a warden was called, they may take the whole animal. Meaning most of it goes to waste. Furthermore. There is no scientific evidence of CWD ever jumping from deer to people or transferring from deer to people. I certainly wouldn’t want to feed people something that looks raggedy and in bad shape

Prion diseases are terrifying. Like, true grimdark future, "time for an Exterminatus" stuff. It's untreatable, uncurable, nearly impossible to develop immunity to, transmissible in pretty much every way, can survive most sterilization processess, and can remain infectious in the environment for decades. If there was one kind of disease most likely to cause a a mass-extinction it's prion diseases.

Overpopulation of deer makes it worse. Really it's the overpopulation of humans and the fact hunting is less popular than ever. Hunting helps control animal populations and certainly keeps them at healthy numbers. Overpopulation will lead to sick and weak animals. There is no human overpopulation. We have no problem feeding the world. Wildlife can be kept at healthy numbers with hunting and that provides the states with money to manage parks and wildlife. Most of the hunters I know are very supportive of conservation and they also keep an eye on local willdlife issues.

Stiil fresh and no visible signs of broken bones, gunshot, or disease. Game Protector showed up within 2 hours. I asked him where he would be taking the deer, and he informed me it was going to the incinerator at the York Count Waste Management facility. I questioned him about CWD and wondered why not test the animal. His reply..... don't shoot the messenger, but policy was disposal because there were no known cases of CWD in York County..... I guess that would be one way to keep the disease out of the county.
