for anyone wondering, the only reason they changed the system for the chronicled wish was because they knew they hadn't reran shenhe for a really long time. They changed the system for the chronicled wish only for this chronicled wish in 5.3, its not confirmed whether they've changed the chronicled wish for future chronicled wishes

Shame this wasn't a free 5 Star in the selector as even 20 pulls ain't gonna help much when you remember this has a completely separate pity counter from the normal banners. Early to midgame players are kinda screwed as unlike Zenless you really have to always be up to date in order to participate in most of the higher level events that give primogem rewards. Even basic tasks in Zenless give 20-30 polychromes whereas that's a full 10min + mission for Genshin which is crazy.

The biggest surprises are Baizhu and Shenhe. Shenhe is understandable because she haven't got a rerun for a long time. Baizhu other hand is unexpected. His last rerun was version 4.6 this year.

@@Crimz6d go for citlali coz mauvika as archon will be rerun soon and will be there every year but citlali we don't know maybe they rerun her coz she's new but look at wrio he didn't even got any rerun and eula, ganyu and shenhe are already on this chronicle and i guess they will be there for ever from now on and soon inzuma standard character is coming so ayaka will be thrown to this banner aswell so best bet is citlali she's shielder cryo applicator buffs pyro and hydro and her shield scales on em so u know she can deal high reaction dmg so overall she's good buffer but it's up to u who ever u want u can pull
