First time I entered the black omen back in like 1997 I was completely blown away. I didn't know music could be this good in a video game.

This is my new favorite of your remasters. It's so crisp and satisfying!

+RebeccaETripp Thanks! The choir in the 2nd part bothers me a bit, but it's still fine I guess.

Time Rock Orchestra I personally really liked that choir bit.

Whoops, I thought you did this remix too, R Etripp. I bet you would do it well, also. ^

Just discovered your channel after the Lavos theme, currently listening to the rest of the Chrono Trigger OST. This is ridiculously good! Absolutely insane man

One of my favorite tracks from the OST, and now my favorite cover of said track. Truly amazing!

I always loved this song for its ability to mix jazz elements with adventure. And also love how this, and all all your remixes retain the original feel. Did you use any of the chrono trigger soundfont actually? Some of this sounds exactly like it.

StoneTheMason _Music Everything is made using Kontakt sample librairies. I only use the original tracks for retranscription by listening to them in a SPC player, which allows me to seperate each track and hear the notes clearly.

You are always able to retain what make this soundtrack what it is. Thank you for the bass, thank you!

this was an interesting theme first time when i entered the place, little did i know this was also the route to fight lavos.
@jeffy2105 ай бұрын
You actually don't have to fight him at that point. There's a way to double back and if you talk to Magus at the End of Time he has a follow up with how his mom is free.

Wow. Just so amazing. I absolutely love this game's soundtrack, and you remade it in a really satisfying way. 0 dislikes still as well ;). Definitely earned a sub for all of these great remakes!

Man, this is your first undertaking? You're amazing! I'd recommend doing Undertale next to pull in a crowd, but KZbin is already overflowing with that tasty jam. :,(

Thanks for all the comments! Much appreciated! I have plans to do other games also. For now I am taking a short break because real life stuff is happening, but as soon as I finish the Chrono Trigger OST I will be remaking other 16-bit RPG titles as well.

So as a layperson to audio engineering this sounded completely identical to the in-game version/OST to me. What parts / kinds of things should I be listening for or focusing in on to see what you changed in the remake?

I love the bass in this one but Is it me or does the bass at 1:05 seem a little weaker than the original and most renditions I've heard. It could be just me though. By weaker I meant to say less "oomph"
@timerockorchestra8 жыл бұрын
+eman22g4 It's possible. The volume should be the same as the rest of the track tho. It sounds fine on my end... What are you listening through?
@eman22g48 жыл бұрын
+Time Rock Orchestra HD800S but it might also be my soundcard.
@timerockorchestra8 жыл бұрын
eman22g4 I don't think it's your soundcard. I don't use monitors to produce this, I do everything with my AKG K702 headphones. It has a good imaging of the bass but sometimes it can be off a bit, since you hear it well but don't "feel" it. I'll have to double check my tracks in monitors at one point. Thanks for pointing it out.
