Can we talk about how good Puwexil is at these? There's a lot of great runners, but Puwexil has really good presence for them. Knows when to talk, knows when to not talk, shares information when it's interesting. And smooth game play. High five, Puwexil.

God, this was my favorite finale in a GDQ. We have one of the best RPGs of all time coupled with boatloads of hype, an amazing runner with a great couch, and a ton of love from both the room and Twitch chat. Near the end of the run people were gifting subs left and right, and chat was positively exploding. To think that the record would be absolutely smashed this year had me taken by surprise, and I loved every minute of it. I'm not ashamed to say that I got kind of emotional. The energy was real, it was positive, and it was incredible.

The crowd, the hype, so many memorable and tense moments, hitting that 200k incentie at the last second when it seem impossible, getting like 40k in 5 minutes, the subs and bits being added right as the AGDQ 2019 was broken, the ending, that insane last push for the 3 million, hitting at the end with the Chrono Trigger credits music. Wow, this run definitely made history! I've been watching GDQ since around 2012 and this run instantly became my all-time favorite run. Especially the last 1,5 hours were just plain ass-kicking and excitement. I, just having finished rewatching it, am still standing in front of my PC, am still hyped as hell and my heart is still going nuts. So many things that made this run truly remarkable: Puwexil not only delivered a great speedrun of one of the best games of all time, but also his commentary was great, always on-point and fun to listen to. SporadicErratic did a great job as host (loved that singing of Gato's/Gonzales's song btw^^). The crowd that was hyped as hell, especially towards the end. The fall of the $3M mark which was exciting as hell. And along that the credits song just fit perfectly for the end of not only that run but the whole event. And generally the willingness of the people to donate such a great amount of money for charity (reminder for everyone: Every donation, every Dollar counts). And many more things... Just enjoyed everything and everyone. Thank you all for delivering such a great piece of history!

3:20:38 slight correction to that bit of trivia, Rodolfo "El Gato" Gonzalez was a Mexican lightweight boxer who won the title of WBC Lightweight champion in 1972. His nickname "El Gato" is Spanish for "The Cat," which is why Gato the fighting robot has cat ears and attacks with a boxing glove.

Love this game, love the commentary, and love the speedrun. Love that this is for charity, too! Great job, everyone. One note: Magus is an actual word that is pronounced "May-Guss". His name can be pronounced however you like since, as you mentioned, it's a fantasy game with no voice acting. I think that this name ties in with the fact that Magus never felt he belonged in that era, gave nobody his real name, and went by his title as a sorcerer while we laid plans to summon Lavos. Revealing that his real name is Janus, and that he also went by the title "Prophet" leads me to suspect that he was hiding his identity for whatever purpose. Thanks for the upload! Really enjoyed.
