What's your prediction for watches in 2025? What's in? What's out? What do you want to see more of?

Is it the price of the raw material for stone dials or rather how tedious it is to work with it!?

I know Tudor has the BB58 in 39mm, but I'd love to see a Sub in 39

Agree totally on Balazs’ point that customers will never want to pay more for a smaller version than the larger watch. Longines does this with their diver and it has to be impacting sales.

I wear dress watches with a t-shirt and cargo shorts all the time. The sport vs dress watch thing is played out and really limits one’s choices for no good reason at all

For some reason I've been looking for a dress watch. Nomos Orion are super thin and versatile at a good price for who's starting in the hobby

Agree with Thomas about the thin watches. I tried on the thinnest Octo Finisimo and felt like it if I sneezed, I might snap it in half. It’s a science project and not practical.

2025 and 2026 should continue to see a shrinking Chinese/Asian market demand for watches. Even a hint of recession in Europe or the US will further reduce R&D budgets (think shrinking German economy). So I see watch manufacturers making only minor changes to their line-ups. Dress watches remain a bargain when considering case materials and movement finishes.

I love the idea of brands bringing super light watches to the market. I think this is a good direction to go in. Not thin, but super light. Push this envelope. However, they must be approachable in price. Omega makes a super light watch but at $40k it is not approachable for most.

Talking about purple, the AP Code 11.59 black/purple is a great watch! The dial, that stands out at the moment, is the Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon Felipe Pantone...and then, there is purple rain.

The most exquisite dress watch and with the thinnest classical movement is the Vacheron Constantin 1955 Ultra-Fine. 36 mm at just 4.1 mm thick with a solid gold movement. VC really should re-issue this, though fortunately I was able to find one in near perfect condition 🤩

Please make Purple Great Again!
@axelr937813 күн бұрын
T'y for the video. For next year i hope red is going to be a trend between ruby and lie de vin, kind of dark red. I see a dark fumé red on the dial of Cartier Santos. OP maybe sunburst pourpre for example. I also see less sport integrated watches. Bronze is slowly going out too like météorite dials. Charbon will not be a thing. It's à shame that we may not see a lot of affordable complicated watches like annual calendar for example. But i hope micro brands will do it. Big brands will Come back using their classic hits but in a more dressy way. We saw à lot of sports watches and their will be some dressy watches next year. They will be more discret compatible with Chinese market. Let' see 😁

You’re not as explicit as you could be but the current main trend is definitely the death of the complications. Simpler watches that look good or interesting regardless of their mechanics. In 2025 we might go further and see quartz popping up in more interesting designs.

Panerai’s are meant to be big. Why does every watch have to get smaller? Go to the gym and eat some food instead
@Joebo3113 күн бұрын
Panerai kinda has it together. Big just needs to get back in trend. They could do better with the current Radiomir lineup though. No sandwich dial classic dial Radiomir is a miss IMO.

Thanks fellas! I personally would love to see more forged carbon cases in 2025. You talked about the uniqueness of stone dials and the lightness of titanium -- forged carbon has natural variation but is less flashy than stone dials, and it's 3-4x lighter than titanium!

Hate to say it but if the big open marketplace and auction house rolls out their no sellers fees for watches beyond the UK and Germany would be a huge hit to C24.
