Hello bro, my car is like this too, what is the name of this sensor? I want to change one.Thank you.

If you watched the video. I clearly tell you its the heating element. It’s not a sensor or a replaceable part on its own. You will have to replace the fuel filter housing. Preferably with the new improved type.

thank you for the vid, but any chance you could provide an update did this work? if so how well did it work? did the heater still work? did the fix last? cheers.

Thanks for the video, when My Grand Voyager cuts out I lose power to the instruments and the radio could you please let me know is this a symptom of this fault ?
@Potter-wb1yz3 жыл бұрын
The fault you’re describing sounds more like an electrical issue rather than a fuel issue. I’d be looking at possible earthing problems or chafing wiring, etc. Sorry I can’t be of any more help than that.

Thanks for your quick response, I really have my hopes up for this being the problem but you're saying this electrical failure is not a symptom of this particular fault. I initially thought it could be electrical but was confused by the fact that everything just seems to come back to life a few seconds after the engine stops And sometimes the radio and the dials die and then come back to life before the engine actually fails taking my foot off the throttle immediately after the radio stops seems to help. I would appreciate any insight you could give me. Could be electrical failure extend to the fuel pump which is why I have a few seconds between the radio dying and the engine stopping ?. @@Potter-wb1yz

Here’s more of an insight to what mine was doing. Some days it wouldn’t start and I had to either crank the engine over for an extended period which doesn’t do the starter motor any good or hand prime the fuel filter. The engine would cut out if I; Accelerated hard from a stop. Accelerated hard to overtake something at any speed (worse when the engine was warmed up to operating temp). Doing an emergency stop. On every occasion, the radio (if on) stayed on. The dash would obviously loose rev’s (tachometer) and put on the battery light, etc. Speedo still worked. This is why I think you have an electrical problem. That’s not to say you don’t have any of the same issues I had. As to the fuel pump causing your issue... I would very much doubt that as it’s a mechanical pump. So, going down that path, I’d say look at what controls it. But this going beyond a remote diagnosis with a quick fix. I think someone needs to get hands on to resolve the problems you’re describing. I hope this is of some help as I understand the struggles of trying to get information on this engine.

Just reread what you asked about the fuel pump. Yes, although it’s a mechanical pump, it is electrically controlled.

Thanks very much for taking the time to respond. I do appreciate the insights you've given me. Unfortunately it seems to be confusing me even more. Unlike in your case I've never had a problem starting my car. It always started first time every time but like your case it does tend to cut out when accelerating from stationary or accelerating to overtake. I'll take your advice and check for loose wires bare wires etc see if I can see anything touching the earth. I think I might also check the relays. I'm very reluctant to take this into a garage as it's a 15-year old car it wouldn't take very much before the repair cost exceeded the value of the car but on the other side of the coin It flew through its MOT just a couple of months ago and I really like it as a car. @@Potter-wb1yz

How's symptoms of this issue? My Grand Voyager stop engine once on the highway. I was driving like 120km/h, constant speed. As I stepped on thw gas pedal, engine just stop. Car restareted after couple of try.
@Potter-wb1yz3 жыл бұрын
As the title reads. Cutting out and stalls under load. Normally at around 2500rpm and can be replicated most of the time. Speed is irrelevant but does has to be driven eg not parked on the driveway.

@@Potter-wb1yz Thanks. Then car service didn't found the problme. I'll check for this. Sounds very much the same as problem with my car.

No I can not. I had to do a lot of research to find the correct part and then a supplier. Who no longer sell that part. You know what you need. I suggest you either do your own research or find a local parts supplier and get them to provide the parts and service you require.

Unfortunately, on what you’ve described. I couldn’t possibly give an accurate answer.

What is is that voyager and miles travelled
@Potter-wb1yz3 жыл бұрын
As the description says Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD. If you’re asking to see it’s the same as yours, then I’d suggest opening the bonnet and compare what you see to the video. As for mileage. I don’t really see the relevance but 130000+. I hope this helps.
