Man this was good! I listened to the podcast first then had to come listen again to leave a comment. So many gems! As a black woman in my earlier 30s, I needed all of this. God’s timing for the release of this was perfect! 💕

What a therapeutic and knowledgeable session! God bless you Chrystal and Dr Sarita!!!! Dr Sarita spoke about Sankofa and it originally from the Akan tribe in Ghana, which means "To go back and get/retrieve". It's is usually depicted by a bird with its head facing backwards. Its literal translation comes from the Akan proverb, "S3 wo wer3 fi na wosan kofa a yenkyiri," meaning, "It is not taboo to go back for what you forgot (or left behind). #PerspectivesWithLorrencia

I'm sorry this conversation was complicated for me.😩 I feel the same I don't want my life to depend on race. I do not focus on these things that cause distractions for me and my mental. 🥹 I do not want to navigate my beliefs in Christ by trying to understand why he created me as a Black Woman. This conversation is so good! I also want to run away from my responsibilities sometimes!🫣🤭😅 I will stop here and just try to soak this episode in.🥹 Thank you for sharing Dr. Lyons with us.🙏❤
