Kelly had a song that I use to trip on with Keith Murray where he sang ‘Parents out of town, ladies all around, me in the groove, doing what we do.’ Wtf were we thinking as a community? Another one I noticed as I got older was BBD’s ‘Poison.’ “Backstage underage, ADOLESCENCE, how you doing? Fine. She replied, I sighed, I like to do the wild thing. Action took place. (Forgot all the words.) Don’t forget the J-I-M-M-Y y’all. I need her body bad.” TF? And why wouldn’t the record labels say ‘hey that’s not appropriate?’

@@Them_kids_momma Where were these young girls parents? If you listened to the WHOLE video, did you hear them mention this young girls parents or guardian? I didn't! So I feel you about you shouldn't blame the young girl, but she wasn't trying to run away or ask for help OUT of the situation! So she knew this old man was famous and had money and took care of her. She was unfortunately groomed before she met Chuck Berry cause didn't hear anything about him taking her virginity, thus the question he put to her about has she prostituted before. The girl said yes! My problem is we want to overlook what CAUSED a young teenage girl to end up with an older man who was able to take her across the country! Unfortunately, baby girl had lost her little girl innocence way before she met up with Chuck Berry. Girls as young as 13 were getting married and having children back then. Sad and sick, but true! It seems as soon as you started puberty and started menstruating, you were considered fair game by grown a** men. And the law was usually on the man's side unless he was black. For years, I never understood why Berry disappeared around the time of the British Invasion. This guy was arguably bigger and more influential than any of his rock and roll contemporaries in the late 50s/early 60s. I think the huge majority of rock songs dealt with sexual desire and sexual frustration. The lyrics were something that young men listening could relate to. Listen to the Beatles “Revolution “. Maybe their best song; this is their ode to Chuck Berry. There is no MCCartney and Lennon if there isn’t a Chuck Berry. He’s that important. Unfortunately, he was a predator and his moral/legal/criminal issues derailed what had been a landmark career. He obviously never learned his lesson either and it’s all a terrible shame. What could Chuck Berry have added to the catalog in the latter half of the 60s? He was the father of rock and roll. It is a great legacy. But his legacy as a man is badly tainted

You are brainwashed. No, wonder the jails are all filled up because people think like you. These age limit laws did not come about until the late 50s to the sixties; before then we had huge families. Now a days no one is getting married, and women are starting to have kids in their late 30s to their 40s.If you talk to any doctor this is the most dangerous time for a woman to be going through childbearing. This person, no different than most that she negatively speaks of on this channel, obviously believes that their behavior and iniatives makes them powerful. Yet they will hide behind lies and deceit when having to face the music. This is the same song and dance, everytime. Which inevitably confirms that such behavior is adapted for reasons that serve said person's ego and Life that they're aiming to live, perpetrate and enjoy, while it lasts.

I heard stories from my mom that my maternal and paternal grandmothers were young girls before they were married off to my grandfathers who were in there 30s. My paternal grandmother was 11 when she married my grandfather. These days we would never married off our pre teens and teens to 30 year old men.

how many folks know about Berry's song, "Sweet Little Rock & Roller" ? She's 9 years old and sweet as she can be All dressed up like a downtown Christmas tree Dancin' and hummin' a rock-roll melody NO one can defend the perversions so artfully described here, but he HAD to have a "rock and roll imagination" to cook up all that stuff and PERFORM it ! What's your pleasure, "you never can tell", "memphis", "no particular place to go" ? - the long list isn't endless, but the song quality makes it seem so. Later in his life, it seems like "Ding a Ling" was the perversions Coming BACK. Rest in Peace, Chuck. You WERE the Greatest - and no one on this earth can take that away from you.

No one helped him so hence through the years he sought the same behavior that was done to him His family failed him. He needed therapy he needed psychologist to let out all that wrong that was done to him. He probably thought he did something to deserve it.

I am a new subscriber, nice video! As far as a girl being too young for a 30+ man, we must remember at one time this was part of the culture. A 16 old dating or marrying an older man was acceptable in society. My great-grandmother born in the 1800's married at age 14, my grandmother her daughter married at 16, this was acceptable universally. When I was a young police officer a girl at the age of 15 could consent to sex with an adult. This was on the law books us cops used when making an arrest. If I received a call stating a parent is angry with the 50 year old neighbor for having sex with her 16 year old daughter, if we realized it was consensual, we would tell the parents no crime was broken. Laws later changed as societal views changed! Chuck, would truly be a sex offender if he was still alive. "This Indian girl", as a Native American the headdress and the slang words for Native Americans would not work in today's society!
