Yeah, from 1:53 to the end of the tune, 2:10 or so, what are those things in the picture? Pedals.Try fitting that thing in your lap........

A pedal steel is pictured. Is that what was used? Only conjecture. Even if so, PS can be played w/o pedals, in other words, functionally equivalent to lap steel playing. I don't hear obvious pedal use here, rather bar movement. I here him playing it lap style, as he would on the old fender non-pedal console he had at home.
