Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode is one of the songs that's engraved on the' Golden Record' attached to each of the two Voyager spacecraft that left Earth in 1977. These spacecraft are travelling around 38,000 mph and are now about 14 Billion miles from our home planet, and in interstellar space. Chuck Berry's music will live on in the eternity of space and time. Those of us who ever had the privilege of seeing him perform in person will have that memory for the rest of our lives. R.I.P. Mr. Berry, and thank you for all the great music.

@@SteveC-p5m I can't help thinking that eons from now in some distant alien civilization an authority figure in their government will figure out how to play Voyager's record. Their teenaged offspring nearby will be ignoring the contents until Chuck comes on with "Johnny B, Goode" and rocks the joint! At that moment the teenager's life has forever been changed and Rock & Roll takes the entire planet's youth by storm! A whirlwind of music and revolt!

Oh yes he was, not only an entertainer and master guitarist with amazing showmanship, but a piano and saxophone player. That by definition my friend is a musician in true form.

Johnnie Johnson played the piano on Chuck Berry's songs. Johnson was also involved in writing Berry's songs, but Berry didn't give him credit or pay him royalties.
