You are absolutely right!! To them Chuck Berry was a God. They got rock and roll raised by him. What a privilege it was to them to be on the same stage singing his music with him. Duck walking too. I'm absolutely sure it was the same with Keith Richards. I remember when the Stones hit the airwaves. Rock and Roll had finally returned, 'cause you could hear Chuck Berry in Keith Richards' guitar.

@@brianhardy5926 Chuck Berry was king to all musicians and rockers look up Keith Richards look up Tina Turner he idolized Tina Turner . look up John Lennon and look up Julian Lennon and that’s just a few… Chuck Berry performed with both father and son. John Lennon had died six years before that already. When He performed with Julian Lennon, and after they sung and danced and played the guitar together, Chuck Berry looked up and told Julian Lennon, say hi to your dad for me, and then he said forget it I’ll see your dad first. I will tell him how incredible you are. Chuck Berry was already up in age There’s a story to that too John Lennon was never close to his son Julian Lennon until it was too late. And Paul McCartney wrote. Hey Jude for Julian Lennon for that same reason . John Lennon never gave Julian Lennon the time of day. Very sad. He didn’t see his son grow up. and by the time he wanted to see his son, it was already too late. yes Yoko Ono had a lot to do with it. John Lennon told somebody that worked for him. When I die, give Julian my diaries because he wanted Julian to know his dad. When the worker went to go get the diary to give it to Julian Lennon after John died Yoko Ono didn’t want to give it up and she called the police and had that worker arrested for stealing it. To this day she hasn’t gave that diary to Julian. One thing good came out of all this Julian Lennon is very close to Sean Lennon, the son of Yoko Ono and John Lennon his stepbrother. back to Chuck Berry, There is no famous Magician back then, and now that idolize Chuck Berry ❤❤

@@blackdogHH Richards has ripped alot of his syncopated rhythm style from Chuck and Dave plays good rhythm too, agreed. Chuck is a few notches above both. And can drop a fill in here and there jump back into the rhythm effortlessly and in perfect time, he's also a front man singing and pulling off some of the most outrageous theatrics physically and even his facial expressions are part of the package. Keith and Dave, still play it the way white guys do, stiff. Chucks more primal, if you study his playing, it's all in the subtleties, and tremendous looseness.

The real King of Rock and Roll. Words can not describe his greatness!
@andrewli1519

People always put artists in pedestals. Both Chuck and Elvis were both great men. Even Elvis admitted himself, he wasn't the king, that god was; he was a very religious man, gave everything he had and more; more than he probably should have. He grew up poor. Lost his mother, that devastated him for the rest of his life. That's what not a lot of people know about Elvis. They wanna criticize him. But people, the media, just put that title up there for him, and cause all this debacle between people who's the really king, between Chuck and Elvis. Let's just say they both had culture impacts on music. They are good in there own rights. They both brung something to the table. Also, in Elvis' 1968 comeback special, Elvis even describes where rock and roll music came from, never once did he take credit for "creating" it. It wasn't even intentional, his rise to stardom, he did the song "that's alright mama" as birthday gift for his mother. He grew up around church and around blues music. And that "it sprang from Gospel and R&B", that's what he said in the 68' special. And if you check out Elvis catalog, he has done many many genres of music, not just rock'n'roll. There are things that make each musician great...

Frank, man, you are S-P-O-T-SPOT ON. A bizarro combo but the Gibb boys do themselves proud. Chuck and the crowd are into it from the first time he "looked at his watch" through the reprise. The piano man and his mates stick a groove sharp as a knife. And that duck-walk kick-line is as glorious and improbable a rock'n'roll moment as we are ever likely to see.
