Great interview with Carlton Douglas Ridenhour from Roosevelt Strong Island, who hosted a radio show at Adelphi University. He and William Jonathan Drayton Jr. met on campus and received much of their early knowledge from Ujima Jame. When my book Harlem Son was published Chuck had me on his radio show, and my sales went through the roof, and I was able to retire. May God continue to bless this wonderful, talented brother.

@Barely Social Experiment Thank you! I self published because I want complete control of the book. It was 2009 and I wanted to build my own social media platform to promote the book. The first few years I attended 50 book festivals and was a staple at the Harlem Book Fair where I sold my book retail. Like I said when I got on with Chuck D I started to receive royalty checks which still come in the mail today. I'm now working on an audio book which I will produce myself. All the best on your project.
