And absolute MASTERS of their craft. I wasn't a big Rush fan until I myself became a musician at age 16. Then I realized that these guys did LIVE with 3 people what it takes most bands 5 members, a producer, and 3 weeks in the studio to do. TRUE artists.....we'll never see this again in our lifetimes.

Not a RUSH fan boy but over the years however, I did appreciate a lot of their music. (I'm over 70 so my main groups were YES, Crimson, Cooper, Genesis, Beatles, Stones, etc). I was a drummer and felt terrible as to the life Neil went through; As well, upon his passing on... This video popped up so I thought I look at a few seconds of it. The opening scene of Neil playing guitar, Alex on bass and Geddy on drums, cracked me up. Just hilarious. I ended watching the full video. Extremely funny and I'd encourage anyone who hasn't seen it to check it out. These guys had it together...
@bigvrocks2480 Жыл бұрын
@@UntrepidOne-gx5le Good question. I was into the Beatles & Stones, DC5 when they came out. Blue Cheer, Pink Floyd, Cream, Genesis, King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Gentle Giant, and on and on, etc. From the beginning of modern rock until the early to mid 70's Progressive. To me, RUSH was a third generation Progressive band. That was for the kids to appreciate and follow. Like I said, I grew up with the bands from the Beatles forward. If I was 19 in the mid 70's I probably would have been more 'fascinated' by them, but I saw YES , Crimson, Genesis, Floyd, and on and on, in their heydays when they were inventing the genre... RUSH was a few years too late for me. That being said, I did appreciate what they were doing but I had already seen most of it by the time they were 'famous'...
