Yo - Any changes on Twitch Rod or WHAT you can suggest that you would want to buy NOW vs what you had in this video? LET ME KNOW! I really need a 2pc XTRA FAST 7'6-8ft sort of deal.. I dont care about manufacturer... The one im using now is a 7ft SLX shimano 6-12lb, (feels a bit short) which i landed a few big fish on at vedder but I feel like I want a bit more power for when sht hits the fan (big fish or the odd foul etc) Rods previous to this: 7'6 1pc X Rod 8-17lb fast action 1pc Okuma Lamiglas X11 7'9 2pc 8-17 fast action Both were not EXTRA FAST, and the 1pc stuff is brutal to walk with or stick in the car... Hey! Really good question, and yes I have started using a different twitching rod. I'm using the Chrome Strike Outfitter - Fraser twitching rod. At first I thought it was too light and small (7' length, Medium-Light power), but it's pretty tough! I've come to like the lightweight rod on my arm/wrists when twitching all day. I've also liked this rod for trolling trout and kokanee from my kayak. All that said, I haven't fished this rod yet for the big Chinook or Chums yet (will this Fall). So I can't speak to that usage quite yet. The guys who make them are local here in Vancouver, and they said the rod is stronger than it looks, so I'm assuming it'll handle the larger Salmon... but we'll see.

Every November I close off my salmon season at Mintor Creek, on the Olympic peninsula. There are hundreds of chum that go through that Creek on the way to the Hatchery! I will be going Thanksgiving weekend or a week before and they go crazy for twitching Jigs there as well. I also make my own twitching jigs,, "EarlyBird Jigs "- if you ever come to Whatcom County in Washington we should meet up I can take you to some really nice places from June to November and we can switch them up! Lol cool video and good job on the twitching!

Looking to get into jigging and get a rod for it. What is your rod weight?

I like a Medium Heavy or Heavy weight. At the start of this video I go through all the specs I like in a twitching rod.
