Oh yeah! Definitely a sleeper kind of bait. Stays on the hook super well. I’ll have to do a video on it with the left over pieces

@@HolyMolyOutdoors will be waiting for it….I tried some this week with fantastic results! One more question for you. I’m wading for Chum/Coho about crotch high and have no net as I rarely keep a fish. Suggestions on not loosing so much gear trying to unbutton them at my side? 15lb leader with a loop knot to my jig. Usually do not touch them for a few reasons but mainly just trying to stay dry jacket, sleeves wise and become as cold as quick.

Do you use the same float setup for steelhead and chinook

I do yes sir! Very universal but what changes is how large a float and weight being used. Chinook float fishing with a jig might be a 1/4oz min jig and a 3/4 -2oz oz float. Steelhead setup is very similar to the chum one. I have some more videos soon showing the breakdown of salmon to steelhead transition

They can be crazy!! I run 15lb minimum sometimes bump to 20lb

Fresh ones (chrome) from tidewater/lower river are great smoked. Caught them in the salt they are great on the bbq. Lots of oil in the meat
