I'm sorry this happened to you, Amy. I've been a pastors wife in the past....the stories I could tell. Many unhealthy churches revolve around one lady or clique of ladies and it's sad. As far as misntry goes, I miss helping people. But I don't miss getting gossiped about 😅. Thank you for another good video.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately, cliques continue to exist well past high school and are even prevalent among senior citizens. I joined my church’s women’s group and was shocked at the gossiping and making fun of other members behind their backs. I quickly backed away the group. Sad that I can’t be more involved, but I refuse to be part of that sort of negative dynamic.

I have read a lot of comments about mean "girls" in senior communities. Awful. It never ends.

I can totally relate to this kind of church. I was very active in my last church and I couldn’t take it anymore. I left the church and never looked back. I don’t go to any church now because of that. I still have a great relationship with our God and still growing. Sorry you went through this. You’re not alone. Thank you for sharing. 💕

Oh, Amy! I sadly relate to your stories. After our online church message today, my husband mentioned finding a small group. I am praying about this. I miss worshipping at church. But have too many experiences just like this!

Girl I think when these things happen to us, we are getting a taste of what Jesus must have felt with the Pharisees. I wish you were where I am in AZ…we would be such good friends. We are definitely kindred spirits!

I was involved in a Pentecostal church a few years ago and it was a huge part of why I am afraid to get involved in a church group again. When I joined I was love bombed and at that time of my life I desperately needed support from other women. It was all encompassing and “ controlled “ every aspect of my life. I had to move to a different city but I was more than willing to travel back and keep in contact BUT I was literally shunned from the day I moved. I was deeply hurt but it truly opened my eyes to the hypocrisy that was rampant in THAT church. I miss the women but do NOT miss the judgement towards other Christians. Just a sad experience

I have been looking for YEARS for a healthy church that doesn't have either that group of women that are very clearly NOT operating in the right spirit or there's just no anointing at all & today I found it! Glory to God! Unfortunately these types of women ( & men ) cause a lot of hurt & harm & that's sad bc there are people who may be new in the Lord & can quit church entirely bc of this tupe of thing- I never let it turn me off of God I was just like dear Lord IS there a church that ISN'T like that?? Thank God there actually is- so glad you found one as well!

Yeah, I left a church 6 months ago after bullying and finding out some horrifying attitudes towards child safety (while outwardly complying with the legal requirements). I went through a period of severe emotional fallout, crying frequently and struggling to sleep. Thankfully my husband and I found another church which seems to have more down-to-earth people, less pretentious, more honest, and who have their own horror stories to share.

I've been thinking about what my grandmother once told me. She experienced cliquey church groups too and gave me some solid advice: stay focused on why you're at church. It's a place for worship, spiritual growth, and community. Those groups need to realize that church is about inclusivity and love. My grandma always said to stay centered on your spiritual journey and don't get distracted by group dynamics. It's their loss if they don't value your friendship. Explore Other Churches: Find a community that aligns with your values. Focus on Personal Growth: Develop your faith through individual study and prayer. Join Online Communities: Connect with like-minded individuals online. Stay true to yourself and your faith. 💖✨

This is why I don’t go to organized churches anymore. Catty women, cliques….. it’s all Bull$. If you ever listen to NDE’s most will tell you that there is no religion. It’s man made rules and regulations of the masses. No more need for that . I love the lessons and stories of the Bible and see a blueprint for living, but not the kind of living these catwomen subscribe too. Amy, you are a gem! When a door closes, keep it closed.

"a false name to protect the guilty"... 🤣👍 As long as women never deal with their internalized misogyny and always see other women as competition, this doesn't get better. We have to work on ourselves, and our own issues (especially old trauma) or nothing changes. The feminist channels I follow now are great. We are extremely supportive of each other. But it took me awhlle to get there, since I'm more of a loner introvert anyway. We can't control what others do. We can only control our own actions.

Guilty Vicky is a classic narcissistic personality disorder person. Getting satisfaction first by repetition with asking you to be a mom mentor, then phase 2....making you jump through hoops. This also steered you away from your career, by missing your business meetings. 😢.

I have heard about this kind of thing continually. Seemingly only regarding women. In my experience, men aren't this shallow or catty. I think this is generally true. Anyone else? And remember I did say seemingly.
