so we got the SQ6, and we currently use the analog snake, on aux: 1 stage monitor, 2 vox monitor, 3 in ears, 4 talkback, 5 broadcast and 6 Recording. broadcast & record, control via SQ Mix Pad, in ears control via SQ4you, and i must say its a flawless setup for us so far

I have ran into the same issues with the small Behringer PM1 packs...the headphone amp for the mixes is a great way to boost the signal to the packs. With the Wing Console, you could apply the console plug-ins to their bus mixes to boost their signal, like the SSL Buss Comp emulation to boost and do light taming of dynamics?

@adam-churchfront what would your thoughts be/when not incorporate the PM1 with the P16s off stage? That frees up sends from the board and gives the band members the ability to mix their own mix. Is this a philosophy thing? Budget? Just wondering as we are integrating a lot of what your teaching here in San Diego

@staplegun100 that's a great idea! We've done things like use a P16 and connect it to a wireless IEM, and using the Midas HUB4 would allow you to actually pass the audio from the network hub and just use the DP48 to control the audio - lots of options!

I'm a bit curious , while not being Cristian I enjoy very much these worship music tech videos. My question is why I only seem to find good quality and quantity of videos explaining the bts of large Venues and bands at this particular genre? I don't think I'll see this quality and in depth videos of any popular venue or band. Does it have something to do with the values of your religion that wants you to be a good person and share information to help others? And the other not-worship places just keep their cards up close because they want to stay competitive? Thanks

Thanks for sharing your observation! We believe that our treasures are in heaven and that we will have eternal life after this one on earth and place a high value on training others ("equipping the saints for the ministry" in biblical language). We know that life is short and our goal is not to elevate ourselves above others but elevate the name of Jesus and promote His Kingdom. Keeping our cards close holds back what could be accomplished for the greater good. No human person is perfect, so you'll see production people in and out of the church environment that may keep things close for personal gain but our goal is for people to be educated and trained. Practically, Churchfront is a business run by Christians and because we charge for some of our training and in-person integration like in this video, we can spend our time purchasing/testing equipment and making training videos like this. @Churchfront, I have a question regarding the choice of the Wing. Why was the Wing recommended? Wouldn't it have been more ideally logical and reasonable, especially for a church accustomed to using Yamaha, to opt for the TF5 over the Behringer Wing? I'm currently volunteering with a church in the state, and having experience with the Yamaha TF5, I appreciate its sound quality. I'm also a fan of Midas.

I'm a fan of Yamaha as well, but they really missed it with the TF5. No digital routing among other issues make that a hard console to recommend. The Midas M32 is a great console and is probably my go to for systems with a low input count. I think the Wing had a rough launch with hardware issues, but it's an ok console. It's not my personal favorite, but it's not the end of the world.

It could be many reasons why they choose the Wing. Honestly, the TF5 is pretty limited. The wing can do SO much more than the TF5. The TF5 is mainly centered for the "get it done and out the way" type. Now, the church could've got a Yamaha QL5 or something close to that, but maybe budget didn't allow it. Either way both consoles are great, It's just the wing can do much more.

@@jaydenmoore155 get it done with creative tool and precision art it’s something we need not with fancy stuff we don’t even use like the auto tune on the wing I doubt if any engineers use it but it’s the future where we want the mixing boards to be

@@johniebeats i was also surprised about the choice there, but like others said, Wing is more capable than most mixers on that price range currently, not only the autotune stuff, but the compressor and eq modelers on channel strips are great. Routing is also good. I think maybe next year we will start seeing better alternatives to the Wing, right now they own that segment. Even A&H SQ feels limited compared to the Wing processing capabilities.

Great mixer. Sadly, I hope don't break on them. Service after the fact is horrible. We are talking upwards of a year for getting repairs done.
