I was baptized in February of 2000. And I have learned step by step. Here a little, there a little. Jesus is the Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His (Jesus Christ) Church! And we are a part of something so special. Something that's more than a Church. More than a religion. We, who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are members of the very Kingdom of God! Welcome! Wonderful times are ahead! 😊👋

When we listen to these semi-annual reports. And when we feel the spirit uplifting us, we should then go forth and act upon that spirit and try to do and follow the examples we have seen and heard.

I don't think the early saints could imagine what miracles the Lord would do through their faith and sacrifice. I am humbled and grateful that I have an opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than myself. We are truly blessed. Praise be to God and to His holy son Jesus Christ. It's so good to feel the spirit.

Incredible update and so many wonderful things happening. I appreciate how much the church helps around the world, I just wish they wouldn’t only help women and children. The men around the world need help and society collectively shrugs their shoulders and just figures they can figure it out on their own granted there were a few universal things like helping the patients with sickle cell anemia through the Red Cross, but I think there needs to be an emphasis on helping men with the challenges, they face around the world

There are programs in the church that help both men and woman in finding jobs, learning how to do finances, help in gaining a formal education, receiving assistance from the church's storehouse, and more. It's just that in this report they highlighted some recent service efforts which happen to be about helping woman and children in those communities.

The only problem is every time I watch a good film like this, KZbin recommends a bunch of anti-movies for me. That's dumb. Satan controls the algorithm. Nevertheless, God will prevail. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

An omniscient and all powerful God should be able to lead all truth loving people to the same truth. Why does this not happen ? The members of the Orthodox Church believe that their church is the true church of God on Earth. Why does God not open their eyes to see that it is the LDS church that has the truth ? I have the Book of Mormon in my bookshelf. I have read some of it but not all of it. It does not talk to me at all. I find it quite boring.

Because God allows people to make their own choice with their own free will. He doesn’t force people to believe Him. God also involves us in His work as well. He commands us to go forth and preach His gospel.
@Terminatorguy349 сағат бұрын
It has to be our want to be lead to the right church, it has to be our want for our eyes to be open, we have to be willing to accept anything the God reveals to us. If people are willing to be lead by God, to his church, he will lead them. He will never force them. Not everyone who wants to be lead to his church is ready for his church, and as such, must be prepared.
@perttisuorsa46789 сағат бұрын
@@darbee1742 I was talking about people who are UNKNOWINGLY members of churches and religions which do not have the true gospel. The members of the Orthodox Church sincerely believe that their church is the true church of God on Earth. If God opened their eyes to see where the true church is they would get a possibility to choose whether to join it or not. Some of them would probably not want to leave their current church but many of them would. If I knew what the whole truth is why would I choose some half truth or a heresy ?
@perttisuorsa46788 сағат бұрын
@@Terminatorguy34 God does not have to force people to join the true church but He must open people's eyes to see where the true church is and that is very clearly something that He does not do and if He does it He does it very seldom. Do you sincerely believe that devout Catholics, Orthodox and members of different protestant sects would not be interested in joining your church If God opened their eyes to see where the true church is ? People who are members of heretical sects do not know that their sects are heretical. God is not very good at talking to people.

I liked most of this report. But 2 small issues. It was said that being with the prophet is like being with the saviour. I reject that premise as it is not true. I have met the saviour (out of my body) and i can tell you the saviour is far more (with all due respect to the prophet). This is a disturbing statement. Secondly, we average members can't have birthday parties at chapels as it's a liability, to use our church buildings for this purpose just for the prophet isn't a good look.
@restlessfeet14 сағат бұрын
The difference is you were out of your body and was in the presence of the glorified savior. It is impossible for us to endure the glorified Lord without being transfigured. If you met The Lord while in mortality, and he withheld His glory, you would find that the spirit would be similar to when the prophet is in the room.
@mikkifrompreston4396Сағат бұрын
The prophets are liars. Just watch their speeches about tithing, but watch objectively, as if u knew nothing about the church
@josephine7944 минут бұрын
To address the last part of your comment, since someone else addressed the first part, we are allowed to have birthday parties in church building's cultural halls - all we need to do is reserve it and it's free. Also, they didn't celebrated his birthday in a church building - that was the conference center to allow a much larger group to attend.

@@mikkifrompreston4396you dont have to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of latter-day Saints to know what the blessings of tithing can give to your life. I was once a Pastor of another Christian Church before i became a LDS. i have seen how this law of tithing bless my life. More so, when i became a LDS, i have witness the blessings in my own personal life. The amount of money i gave unto the Lord, cannot be compared on the blessings i recieve.
