@@felinelover9486 Return to Him, He Who is our first love! I know what it’s like to be in the deepest, darkest pits of sin, but although reaching for His outstretched hand and climbing back out of it is so, so hard to do and really hurts, it’s even more so worth it! It’s painful because we know we were the ones who left Him, not the other way around, and it’s tough at first to accept that we would really treat anyone-let alone our Lord and God and Saviour-that way. But the worth is infinite, and the reward forever! All He needs is for you to make the step toward Him, and as in the parable of the prodigal son, the moment He sees you heading toward Him in the distance, He will gird His loins and start running off to meet you halfway! Take heart, sister, and fear not; God is with us, if we only let Him be! I hope your Christmas season has been good to you, and your new year full of hope and light.

Years ago I woke up at 5am on Christmas morning and amazingly my kids weren't up yet. This was during a time I rarely had a moment to myself and so I decided I would turn on the devotional I had missed. This was the first song the Tabernacle Choir performed and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, I cried. It was such a gift to sit by out Christmas tree by myself and think about our Savior. The third verse is especially powerful. I wished so much that I could sing this arrangement with an orchestra and choir. Years later Ensign Symphony & Chorus was created and I got my wish. I’m not a Mormon. I’m a catholic by birth but am not a very religious person. I’m from a big city on the east coast. Over the last couple of years I have really grown to feel such a profound fullness in my heart when traditional Christmas carols are played, when musical groups like the Mormon tabernacle choir produce arrangements of sheer beauty. There really is something to be said about the value and importance of the true meaning of Christmas. You can see the faith and passion in the eyes of every singer and every Orchestra member here and it’s really beautiful. We get so wrapped up in our busy urban lives, in consumerism, in greed, and it’s so nice to just take a breath, take a step back and watch this. Merry Christmas everyone!

I first heard this version about 18 years ago. I'm still a non-believer, but the beauty of this performance moves me beyond belief (so to speak).

I am not a Mormon either, but here is the beauty of the voices and the harmony of hearts in this magnificent Choir! Splendid to sing Christmas like this! Thank you.

Matt. 12:22-30; Mr. 3.20-27) 14 Jesus was casting out a demon, who was mute; and it came to pass that the devil went out, the mute spoke; And people marveled. 15 But some of them said, By Beelzebub, prince of demons, cast out demons. (A) 16 Others, to tempt him, asked him for a sign from heaven. (B) 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is devastated; and a house divided against itself, falls. 18 And if Satan is also divided Against Himself, how will His kingdom stand? since you say that by Beelzebub I miss out the demons. 19 For if I cast out demons for Beelzebub, for whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges. 20 But if by the finger of God I cast out demons, surely the kingdom of God has come to you. 21 When the armed strongman guards his palace, what he possesses is at peace. 22 But when another stronger than himself comes and defeats him, he takes away all his weapons.

And if we speak of Christ, we preach of Christ, baptize in his name, and sing in his name. Then from whom you taught. Because Satan can not divide his own kingdom and neither can God. Best regards.
