I've tested AI and found an Insidious Bias that causes it to lose perspective easily & get trapped into illogical argument positions. When asked to explain it its error, it invariably blames its trainers. Always test the answers.

I am an artist 👩🎨 and photographer. It was stressing me that my work could become irrelevant . Useless. Who would want or enjoy my art work if AI could produce art on a superior level ? The spirit whispered “ AI does not have God” ❤ These talks have further brought me peace , 🕊️, purpose, insight , and enlightenment ! Thank you dear Bednars 🙏😇❣️🕊️

I hadn’t anticipated the kind of warnings about AI that Elder Bednar brought up. Truly, it’s good to have people looking ahead, and looking out for danger that you cannot see. I hope that AI doesn’t become another chain around peoples’ necks, when instead it could give us incredible tools to create and improve lives.

Who would have ever thought that our apostles would have to warn people about creating an AI companion? These are truly the times which try men's souls. Isn't pornography a step in this direction? May God bless His people to be wise and avoid the snares of the evil one! We thank thee, O God for our leaders and for the Holy Ghost!

29:16 Two guidelines to measure if we are using technology properly 1. Does the use of various technology or media invite or impede the constant companionship of the holy Ghost in your life? 2. Does the time you spend using various technology or media in large or restrict your capacity to live love and serve in meaningful ways? So grateful for inspired guidelines❤❤❤
What a blessing it is to have living prophets and apostle to guide in these latter days....

My wife and I saw and heard the talk he gave 15 years ago. We were inspired and even thrilled by the power of his message. The message is more urgent now than 15 years ago. It is for each person to determine if the message will be lost or whether it will provide us with the guidance needed to avoid the "limitless perils" he has mentioned.

I think this is a really important message. Although AI is a powerful tool and is getting better every day, it is not 100% accurate and often is a little bit off in one way or another. Unless we develop the necessary knowledge and skills for the areas that we work in, we won't be able to catch it when it is off. But more than that, just as Elder Bednar has just said, this life is a time to learn and grow and prepare to meet God. If we use AI excessively, then it becomes a crutch for us and prevents us from making the necessary work and effort to develop and grow our talents and abilities that God has given us. AI is a powerful tool, but we have to be careful about how we use it. AI isn't going to magically solve any problems. People who have spent the necessary time and effort to learn will be able to use AI to help them to make a positive difference in the world.

This is a significant talk and is good to hear Elder Bednar talking about scientific discoveries and giving us some counsel about AI in this fast-moving world. The spiritual dangers of relying on AI are something I had not considered before. Humans are creators and need to use AI to support our creativeness-not replace it because it is easy.

Thank you for these inspiring remarks, which began with a remarkable choir number and the ever-endearing, "hold your scriptures up" which delighted me, a first year batch of then-President Bednar's memorable and effective tradition. The direct application of this devotional message is poignant to today and conveys the love and respect of our Heavenly Father for our divine nature and sacred moral agency. Thank you.

"burn into your brain." I love Elder Bednar as a prophet who speaks our language :) I am loving lately learning about becoming "a house of glory" myself, like C.S. Lewis' metaphor of being w house that the Lord is preparing to be a palace that He will come and live in Himself. There are certainly enough mentions of the word glory and all the related concepts in this devotional talk.

So the main examples of what he is earning against include: AI companions that seem to fulfill emotional relationship needs, ceding our capabilities of creation and agency to AI, and using AI as a replacement for the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. Sounds like the theme of the warning is to take seriously the power of AI, and that the world students are growing up to be a part of is fraught with distractions.

I don’t understand why he’d say it could be used to critique our thinking, when it never can think Celestial. And how can a mathematical equation decipher human interpretation of “tone” in a religious talk? The AI has no faith, no belief in our Savior… I am sure AI can be used as a tool, but he applies it in ways I find shocking.
