Almost true, Every open eye is the weakest album so far, it kinda dissappointed in my humble opinion

Yeah...I think they do. The last two albums had their mehish stuff. This one is the strongest they've put out since the debut.

Meh, Love Is Dead was a bit disappointing, easily their weakest release, but this one? Yeah, Screen Violence is up there with Bones and EOE (my personal favorite until SV released).

Their production is the finest here. I'm happy to hear great songs of them like this.
@joesaiditstrue Жыл бұрын
I felt like production took a hit on EOE and LID, everything felt kinda overproduced/plastic compared to all their prior albums. this one feels to me like they're going back to their roots, i could be completely wrong on how they produced Screen Violence but i feel like her voice is back to being more blended into the music rather than being way out in front like it was the last 2 albums

This whole album is amazing, I just hope Lauren is okay because as a whole, the album is also incredibly dark. Really hope she is okay and knows there are people there for her. Can't bear to lose another favourite artist like when Chester went
@ashbelero3 жыл бұрын
I think it's why Passion Pit stepped away a bit too, ended up making a whole secret album based on his experiences with bipolar disorder and since then he's just been releasing stuff to streaming and that's it. The music industry as a whole has serious issues with mental health. Still, for a lot of artists (myself included) making stuff like this is a vent that helps.
@pablozamora54303 жыл бұрын
Agree, this album is amazing and their new style impressively good, while dark and even somewhat angry. It can be reflected in their (her) music, and even Lauren's new look... she used to be so cute and nice, now she looks a bit more mature and serious. She looks good and always pretty though, but I hope she's doing okay too.
@carieyounginsurance2 жыл бұрын
All her music in my opinion has darkness to it or loss etc - like she’s so light but yet so dark...I guessing she’s an INFJ- I can relate lol! Light on the outside dark on the inside and so wise about relationships and love/loss so young. She sings what I am thinking so eloquently- her song writing is A+!

Had a dream your father died I couldn't scream I couldn't cry The second night, I dreamt you drowned You couldn't fight You were not found These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone A photograph will steal your soul An epitaph won't make you whole If I disappear, thеy'll say I killed myself I nevеr feared for my own health These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone I don't want to see it I don't want to see it I don't want to sleep alone, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it Never sleep alone again, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it I don't want to sleep alone, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it Never sleep alone again when I'm gone These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone Alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone

“These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume. The sweetest honey Is loathsome in his own deliciousness And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately; long love doth so; Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” ― William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet ... here is the quote...

It's when you see footage of this live, you realise just how many of the sounds on here are coming from the guitar and bass. This band understand production and they love their guitar pedals! In fact, Martin has been building his own and they've just collaborated with a stomp pedal company to release a pedal called Screen Violence named after the album
