I lived as a lesbian for 40 years and God's grace gave me the amazing gift of celibacy...I'm truly blessed
@vickikunetka11112 жыл бұрын
Now *that* is a testimony. In this age when everyone regards sex as a right (masking “license” for “liberty”) your life is a true example of a godly relationship. You could choose to live life as a heterosexual and proclaim yourself healed. Instead, you chose to live honestly and took to Christ to fulfill all your needs. And celibacy is indeed a gift from God. I believe He has called you to a higher service and this gift enables you to focus on your ministry. There may be a time that He will call you a romantic relationship with a holy commitment. And if/when He does, all those feelings of sexual desire will be restored. But in whatever your state, you are “taking up your cross” daily. What an awesome example of a godly life well lived.

Gail, thank you for sharing this. We need more people to give their testimonies in order to help others who think that they are alone in that journey. These stories also give hope to the families of those that are choosing a life of confusion and deception, hurting themselves in the process. Could you share what prompted you to change your life?

I had that same healing experience that Chynna had, like a holy scan going through my body from my head to my toes, and my severe, chronic back pain went away. I was ina prayer group and we were praying for another person's knee. My back hurt so much that I could not get up to lay hands so I just sat. I was healed by praying for someone else! I was very confused by that, kept pressing on my back, getting up/down during fellowship/dessert which followed. It was a couple years before I figured out that God works in His own way and He knew I needed pain relief but blessed me for caring and praying for someone else before me.

I had no trouble accepting that God really loved me. I knew what real love looked like. I saw what spiritual discipline looked like. I saw Christian virtues modeled daily before me. As we have grown older, we have come to realize just how rare our experiences were. That is very sad. Every child deserves to have great Christian parents! Good on Chyna! God is so Gracious & Merciful. When she made Jesus her Lord, a real Covenant was Cut with the Blood of Jesus. Even though she was walking in ignorance, God took His Covenant Relationship seriously! Thank God for those girls in Jr High. Without the intervention of those well-intentioned Baptist girls, Chyna could have ended up as a statistic indeed! She should contact them all and thank them!

I am a Roman Catholic & I Just learned that we are all called to become saints which means we are all called to love & follow Jesus which means to take up our cross & follow His commandments & to spread His word... This is all about becoming a saint...
@jda91933 жыл бұрын
Absolutely correct!
@betrion73 жыл бұрын
Scripturally speaking, the “saints” are the body of Christ, Christians, the church. All Christians are considered saints. All Christians are saints-and at the same time are called to be saints. First Corinthians 1:2 states it clearly: “To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy…” The words “sanctified” and “holy” come from the same Greek root as the word that is commonly translated “saints.” Christians are saints by virtue of their connection with Jesus Christ. Christians are called to be saints, to increasingly allow their daily life to more closely match their position in Christ. This is the biblical description and calling of the saints. How does the Roman Catholic understanding of “saints” compare with the biblical teaching? Not very well. In Roman Catholic theology, the saints are in heaven. In the Bible, the saints are on earth. In Roman Catholic teaching, a person does not become a saint unless he/she is “beatified” or “canonized” by the Pope or prominent bishop. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith is a saint. In Roman Catholic practice, the saints are revered, prayed to, and in some instances, worshiped. In the Bible, saints are called to revere, worship, and pray to God alone. - gotquestions . org
@delilasloan89143 жыл бұрын
@@betrion7 I was raised Lutheran christian and our belief was that saints were not to be prayed to in order to intervene for us on behalf of Christ...but instead we could go directly to Christ for prayer. There is a long history of catholicism and how and why the first churches were ran in a certain way...and how eventually people were able to began breaking from those traditions and therefore being able to closer follow the Christ of the bible...have no gods before me and have no idols is pretty obvious, that's not rocket science and doesn't take a genius to understand what that means...don't pray to saints or statures or Mary or any other god and certainly do not worship those things above me. For some reason this is still not understood in catholic teachings and it confuses me as to why Catholics still pray to saints...I have a deep love for nuns and monks who actually give up so much because they love their religion, that takes a lot of willpower and trust, yet I'm confused as to how they pray to statues and saints when the bible so clearly teaches us not to....it's almost like Christ knew what was coming in the churches after his crucifixion and was warning against it. ( Which of course he knew what was coming)

@@delilasloan8914 I know what you mean, there seems to also be almost more reverence for Mary than for Jesus himself…plus, when Jesus died the veil in their temple tore in half, and that was symbolic of the fact that we could now talk to God directly, but in the Catholic Church they seem to believe that they still need absolution through an intermediary - a priest…I can’t understand believing things like this if you read the Bible because it’s very clear on ALL of it. Thank you for this interview. It was such a blessing to watch Chynna speak about her faith in Jesus. She is truly blessed to have a network of support for her faith in Jesus, particularly with her in-laws. She should also take comfort in the fact that she’s a real, huge blessing to her husband, even though he is still not “there” yet. He will see Jesus one day, mainly because of her. Never thought I’d live with so much pain. But I do believe God isn’t done with me yet. I have two hilar en (ages 14 and 12) whom I must guide towards Jesus, and I need Jesus more than ever. I don’t know where I’m going wrong, but my children need to see that Jesus is The Only Way and that the popular culture they’re exposed to is a Big, Fat Lie. And I don’t have a lot of support. I was born again at 9 and for about a year before I was going through a situation that was tormenting me ..I was not being touched in a bad way by anyone but I had some issues going on that I will not share..I just remember this peace come upon me as I went to the alter and every fear or scary thought just disappeared..It was such a peace and a joy that my days was spent humming songs about Jesus..I would give anything to experience that peace again but I lost it when I started to act out like most teenagers are known for so that is part of my story that no one asked for but I wanted to share anyway

I am so glad I clicked and spent the time listening to her tell her story. Glory to God! Keith Green's song comes to mind toward the end, about Romans 7. God's grace is so beyond! Hello from Phoenix Arizona. This is amazing. I know I’m two years late but my brother is a writer in Hollywood. His name is John Glenn and we were all saved when we were kids. This is just amazing. I love to see people that had nothing to do with Christianity or maybe even thought it was “bad” come to Christ it’s amazing.

Chynna’s life chocked-full of dysfunction yet excitement and passion for chasing after God’s truth now is refreshing considering the many in our culture who have decided since they can’t escape their sin simply will celebrate it.

They can escape their sin by repentance and faith in Christ. They love their sin.
@arthurbutler48494 жыл бұрын
Aren't "they," according to the Bible, us? According to the Word of God, there isn't separation of sinners from Christian believers in the presence of God's Holiness (Isaiah 6). Does the scripture share public importance of us judging someone's eternity from our earthly lenses? Remembering Hebrews 12:4, it reminds us that none of us will KNOW we are truly Christ's (even though we absolutely believe we are saved from the penalty of death - Romans 10:8-10.) until it involves a choice to choose death in Christ while someone is causing blood drawn harm, simply because they found out we are Christians. Yes, the definition of Christianity; yielded to the spiritual death process prescribed for those surrendered to the blood of Jesus Christ in their heart and the heart's mind. (Romans 8:36). We must not be a distraction to those who have an opportunity to receive the same UNDERSERVED PRIVILEGE we have through adoption. (Romans 5:1 NLT).
@allanbarnwell39674 жыл бұрын
@@arthurbutler4849 Absolutely. "They" was simply the English use of the word here to refer to "those in the culture who celebrate their sin". Absolutely we all do it, but I just wanted to point out the difference in how Chynna is handling it vs. how most people choose to.

@@susansackrison3139 so very true. The reason it made me happy is because she already has a fan base. She’s already a public figure. So people are going to tune in to hear her testimony. And there’s already a huge crowd that will be made aware of the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why it made me happy. God can use any of us to reach a large group of people. But it’s really cool when someone already has a large group of people following them that already likes and respects them, and then they are able to share the gospel with that huge crowd of people. It’s just really nice.

Chynna, it's so wonderful that you are a voice for Christ! I first heard "Hold On" as a fairly new 21 yr old bride. My hubby was sent to the Persian Gulf (Desert Storm) and I was left alone in So. CA. I didn't know the Lord at that time, but I knew of the Lord. Since I didn't have a relationship with the Lord "Hold On" was an anthem or even prayer of sorts to help me focus on the positive, that this time would pass and I needed to keep going regardless. Thanks for all you and the Wilsons did to keep me motivated and positive through your music at that time. Loved your interview! God bless! 🙏
