Lich King is a beast. I finally got to him on my 10-man last night; we had no problems with Phase 1, but the Raging Spirits and Val'kyr gave us some problems in Phase 2; we didn't have too much issue with Defile except for one time.

@omnismash No. 7 from the bottom of the LK settings in DBM is "Set icon on Defile targets". And yes, it's placed on the player as the LK targets him. But having someone shout it out on Vent/TS can be really helpfull =)

@vesoha Great clarification my friend, i mean use the most common abreviation for a boss in the entire game assuming we know who. Poly is right, KT actually stands for Kel'Thuzad so it would seem that reading isn't your strong point either. As for Vanilla bosses, our good friend Kael'Thas* was more difficult then Onyxia but she was cake walk. He was also harder then Rag as tricky as he was. Lady Vash'j was harder then them both because it was an unpredictable fight and preparation was limited.

its hard to explain the fight for all roles (dps,tanks and healers) i think this guy explains it alright. also he includes few tips on what different classes can use to counter different moves. thanks for the tutorial :)

btw warlocks can stand outside as bait for the valkyres and set the "teleport spell" at the edge, and spamteleport back on the platform

hey cider just a tip incase you dont know of it ( or you just might not like it ) but theres an addon called bagnon that combines all your bags into one huge space. its pretty cool in my opinion so if you haven't checked it out i just suggest it to ya :]

Ciderhelm, one question about the DoT you talk about at the beginning - is healing above 90% of health the only way to remove it or can a rogue's CoS ability remove it too?

The addon he's using for his nameplates is called, "caelNameplates". It's not on Curse but can be found on WoWInterface.

the hardest part of this battle is the 2nd defile/Valkyr. He vill first get the CD of valkyr, pick a player up instantly cast defile, so in middle, spread out when valkyr has target, stun/slow/dps valkyr, after that it's simple a matter of going nuts!

If I player gets flown off as a priest you can use lifegrip as long as they are in range, or at least there model is usually not left the edge of the ice, they will continue to fly but the spell kicks in and yeets them back from very very far away, way out of range but as long as they were in range when you clicked it. I pulled it off once and was always looking for opportunity to do it as it so cool to save someone in this way

@TheProwower well it depends really druids are HoT users so you can pop basic heal over times along with the main druid heal spell but in my opinion fun isnt a word id use it rather boring poping hots every 15 secs you would be better of going resto shammy its a much more satisfying thing to do because your team preservence as much as a tank healer chain heal is a very powerful heal with (i think!) 4 bounces with the glyph and lesser heal still heals 10k for only 600 mana if you build right

Just a quick question... Is it a good idea to pop BL twice during the fight? I got a group, and I'm a little worried about the dps in the group, and I know there is a 15minute timer...but, would it hurt to pop BL twice, or once(where he said you should, which seems to close for me to BL at the very beginning).

When you got a threat sensitive fight and the warr tank is not MTing the boss / dps target, then Vigilance can be more of a pain than a help, because that tank will lose 10% threat... Yes MD / TotT can help, but 10% threat is still 10% threat, and at this stage in WotLK, tanks dont have the same cushion as they did in Naxx(lvl80).

@Dahak753 im a casual player, (usually less then 3 hours a week), and yet, i raid when i can. the fact that there is so much going on in the fight is what makes raids special, rather then just a really long heroic, especially when The Lich King is not only the final boss of this raid, but the boss of the expansion AND the boss which warcraft 1, 2, (especially) 3, vanilla, BC, and wrath have really been centered around, if u cant do this amazingly fun fight, u don't know how to play WoW

@BishonChris well no actually because the guy I was replying 2 was talking about killing arthas in the culling of stratholme where you help the old not-lich-king-arthas beat the demon that was attacking the city. If that arthas died for any reason then illiden would not be defeated by arthas (who is dead) and would become the lich king, killing everyone.
